Confessions of a Disney CM article...

Cute quips, but as it isnt DVC related, I'm going to move this to the community board.

My Mom was once asked if she was pregnant. Being 63 she thought it was a great compliment.:lmao:

I was prepared ot hate this as so many times "confession" articles are disgruntled employees looking to bad mouth their company, but this was actually pretty spot on!

Stroller relocation program
Disney's a family place, but the people who work there come to loathe strollers. It's part of a cast member's job to keep strollers in nice, orderly lines and to make sure they're only left in designated areas. But park visitors keep their strollers in an appalling condition, loaded up with dirty diapers, rotting bottles of milk, and half-eaten PB&J sandwiches. Others see no problem with parking their strollers right in front of an attraction's exit or entrance. Sometimes thoughtless individuals like this incur the wrath of the stroller police, and their precious Bugaboos and Maclarens are intentionally relocated to a place "far, far away"—at the very back of the area cordoned off for strollers

OMG! I worked in Fantasyland my first CP, aka stroller capital of the world. I could not believe how many people got worked up over stroller parking. At our major rides (Small World/Peter Pan and Philharmagic) we keep stroller parking staffed at all times. We have to keep strollers in nice neeat rows. I always hated moving personal strollers. Every one was different and they were not as easy to maneuver as park strollers, plus the lack of uniformity of width and depth just made it more difficult to keep a neat lot. Then there were the inevitable cries of "my stroller was stolen!" as people did not realize that we move strollers close to the entrance for their convenience. All in all, not one of the better liked positions.

The pregnancy thing is a hoot. The ride I work at now does not allow pregnant women, but we are not allowed to say anything. We have it posted numerous times. We figure it's like a heart condition- we don't know if a person has it and trust them to make the right decision.

Too funny and the disclaimer at the end kind of cracks me up even more--evidently the editors didn't read the article.

Note: This story was accurate when it was published. Please be sure to confirm all rates and details directly with the companies in question before planning your trip.

So I wonder how much for a semi-private ride on POTC?:rotfl:
