have you taken one home in checked bags? How did it fare?

We bring one home every trip as our travel day dessert for when we get home. Never had any issues with them being packed up for a few hours. The one time we put one in a carry-on bag it got pulled to the side after being scanned at MCO and we had to wait AGES (seriously more than 20 minutes) to get someone to come over and look at it so we never did that again.

We normally check about 6 of them each trip in our checked baggage and have not had any problems. We declare them at the border but that's all.
