Concrete Question

If you know anything about concrete or had some concrete work done, I have a question?

We had our whole driveway concreted in '99. It's now a crumbling mess. Of course, we used a really cheap contractor and I think we got what we paid for.

Now we have to have it done again and the first contractor is coming out with an estimate tonight.

What do we need to ask for so we don't end up with a junky job again?

LOL yes references, but also we have a stamped concrete driveway(expensive) in the Northeast U.S. There's fiberglass in the concrete, expansion joints + rebar to hold it all together. That being said concrete is tricky, you can get a bad batch and that will fall apart no matter what you do! The trick is finding a reputable concrete guy who will stand by his work. Our driveway started chipping after one year and our contractor came back, ripped it out and did it over again!!!
