Concourse Steakhouse

I remember seeing that the Concouse Steakhouse was scheduled to be moved sometime. I'm trying to confirm this and also find out if the menu will stay the same after they move.

I don't know if anything has been 100% confirmed, but you can probably take it that there's a 99.9% chance that there will be a move sometime next year.

I think the latest rumors had the CS moving sometime around Feb-Aug '08. The rumor has it moving downstairs to become 'The Wave', a mid to high end asian fusion restaurant. If that happens it probably wouldn't be the same menu, and may no longer be on the DDP.

Other Disers probably have more up to date rumors than I do, but that should get things started.

I'm currently planning for Christmas week and 1st week of January. So you think it will still be in the same place then.

I think you'll be fine. Even if they plan to move in early '08, they would probably wait until the Holiday season is over, which means you'd get in just before they close.

I think the plan is to close around march 08-I have an ADR for end of November and there was no mention of a move/change of menu for then when I booked.

So is the CS going away entirely? I was familiar with the change downstairs at the fun center, but did not realize they were changing anything on the Concourse...

There is a timeline posted on the resort boards. The Food and Fun Center closes this summer and counter service moves to a temporary location on the 4th floor by the outer rim bar. Once the new restaurant opens on the 1st floor (next summer?) the Concourse Steakhouse will close and the new permanent counter service location will open in its place.

August 2007 - Newly renovated Fantasia Shop will re-open.

June 11, 2007 through November 2007 - The Lobby will undergo partitioned refurbishments to update the area's image and decor.

July 2007 through October 2007 - The resort's grounds will undergo partitioned refurbishments to install new landscaping and re-route existing guests paths.

July 30, 2007 through April 2008 - The Food & Fun Center will be closed for major renovations. The location will re-open as a new table service option, "The Wave". During this time a temporary counter service location will be operating on the Grand Concourse level near the Outer Rim Lounge.

April 2008 through August 14, 2008 -The Concourse Steak house will be closed for major renovations. The location will re-open as the new Counter Service location for the resort. During this time a temporary counter service location will be operating on the Grand Concourse level near the Outer Rim Lounge.
