Ok friends, I have a small problem. Which is better Concourse Steakhouse or Narcoossee's? We have a trip planned in December. I would love to go to both of these, but I don't know if it's going to happen. I would love to go to Narcoossee's for the excuse of seeing GF all decked out for Christmas. But, I would love to also check out the Contemporary, but just to scratch the itch more than anything. What's your take on these restaurants? Thanks. Mickey

Well since you asked, I would choose Narcoossee's hands down!!
The filet mignon and lobster tail with vanilla sauce is so yum!!
We've also been to Concourse and while it was good enough it was really nothing special. Don't get me wrong, I would go back, I just wouldn't go out of my way. Narcoosee's on the other hand, I just love!

You could really eat at either place and take the monorail over to check out the other. Its always fun to ride the monorail and resort hop.

Geez, the decisions we have to make;)

Well maybe you could go to the Concourse for breakfast or lunch one day and Narcoossee's for dinner. I think it's a great idea to visit the GF to see the resort in its' christmas finery.

If you have time for only one meal I would have dinner at Narcoossee's and hop the monorail to visit theCR.

Okay - if I were in your shoes I would be just as torn. Both are outstanding restaurants, and I've had great meals at both. That said, the menu at each is very different. I would select the menu that appeals to you most, and then plan the evening around the monorail resorts...

Maybe do a day at MK, then head to the Contemporary for a drink, the Poly to walk around and absorb some atmosphere and then dinner at the GF. It would be a lovely evening and ride on the monorail.

Thanks for the input. I was looking for a spot for us to have dinner. This is about the only planning point left to hammer out. I think I have my schedule down pat now. Mickey

I'd say that Narcoossees is a nicer restaurant and a nicer overall dining experience. Also, the GF is a much nicer resort to walk around, especially during the holidays.

That being said, I had the Kansas City Strip for lunch at the Concourse Steakhouse last week and it was excellent. Their desserts were good, too. I think Narcoossees is a bit more expensive, so I don't know if that factors in for you.

All things considered, I'd probably go with Narcoossees.

The Concourse is a nice spot, but not on my short list. It's not that I have anything against it, but it's just "average" in all respects IMHO. (Except they have EXCELLENT creme brulee)

Narcooses is very nice, and the food and service are excellent.

I wouldn't even have to think twice about this one.

Narcooses.

Anne

Thanks everyone! We decided to do Narcoossee's. I can't wait! Mickey

I just went to Concourse Steakhouse a few weeks ago. It was good but not as good as Narcoossee's. The service was great but the menue a bit small. The bread was awesome though.

I would (and have) chose The Concourse Steakhouse. It is just a tad more laid back, and it puts me more at ease.

The menu at Narcoosee seems to change often. I asked our server about this, and she said it changes day to day, depending on what the chef finds at market. I have no idea how true this is, but that indeed is what I was told. I have noticed the menu has different things each time I have ate there. (I am on a Narcoosee boycot since they got rid of the FULL yards). Truly, both are great places to dine, but we prefer Concourse Steakhouse.

Have fun...

Yes, I think that would be fine as long as they are not ragged, cut-offs. I often wear shorts to dinner, but I try to wear nicer shorts.

Have fun....
