Hi. I've heard great things about Spoodles, but the menu for Concourse on allears.net sounds really good. Please convince me which will be better and why! Any links to reviews would also be helpful!

Thanks!!!

I've never eaten at the Concourse, but we did eat at Spoodles on our last trip. Sorry to say, I thought it was the worst meal we had on that trip. I was VERY disappointed. Food was marginal, service stunk. After all the good reviews and all the hype, I expected more. Live and learn I guess...we should have gone to the WCC which we originally had ADR's for.

Hi there...New to the boards...

I was on the Disney Dining Plan in October 2005. Because I wasn't paying for any of my meals, my wife and I thought we would try all new restaurants, rather than a Character Breakfast/Dinner.

We went to the Concourse Steakhouse and loved it. The location is great as it is right under the monorail. You can wave to people while you eat. The food was great. I ordered the Prime Rib and it was excellent. My wife had the Fillet (remember, we we're not paying!) The French Onion Soup was very good as well!

We are going back to Disney in May. We plan on going back again!

I have never eaten at Spoodles. I am a very picky eater. Meat, Pizza, Chicken Parm. Spoodles has a limited menu and they will not make anything else or accodomate substitutes. We tried eating there and I asked them to cook me a pizza...they do make pizza at the Boardwalk. They told me no so we got up and left!

If you are looking for a good Italian meal, we like Mama Melrose's. We do the Fantasmic package every year. It is a fixed price and the food is very good!

Hope this helps!

I also vote for Concourse. We love the atmosphere and the food is great. We did not like Spoodles the one time we ate there, and I doubt we'll return.

AND DID I SAY SPOODLES!!! :teeth:

We have eaten at Concourse Steakhouse and it was good. We have eaten several times at Spoodles and really love it there. It is a great location because you can walk around the boardwalk after dinner and even wander up to the bridge to watch the fireworks from Illuminations. If you are all adults you can walk over to JellyRolls for some piano music and cocktails after dinner.

I did not eat at Spoodles, so I cannot compare, but I loved the food at the Concourse Steak House. Most of us were on the DP, so I was not worried about the price. My Son and DIl joined us, and we shared appetizers and dessert. The food was so good, and we enjoyed seeing the monorail pass by.

We used to eat at Concourse Steakhouse all fo the time...our kids loved it....but it seems like lately the steaks have gotten smaller and the food just isn't as good. It is a fun place in a great location, though.

I like them Both go to both of them.

I loced Spoodles because it is right off the main boardwalk. After a very filling dinner, my family always takes a long walk down the boardwalk and shops and stuff...its a great feeling after all the food!

We had dinner at Spoodles last week. Nothing special. It was fine, but not great. Overpriced in my opinion.

We love Spoodles. We have eaten there mant times over the years and always enjoyed our food. We had the Rigitoni Pasta & Salmon entress on our last trip and they were both excellent. We also ate next door at the Flying Fish for the first time and we just loved it also.

We have eaten at both this past year and I am going to be very slefish and tell you to do Concourse. :rotfl:

This allows more table space for me when I want it at Spoodles! :cool1:

Really Concourse was good and the service good but no WOW factor. We had stayed in the tower of the CR so seeing the monorail was no real biggie either. We spent most of the dinner looking for mis placed tile on the mosiac on the wall. IT was also noisy there but not really bad.

Spoodles on the other hand was excellent for us. We had an ADR for when the opened at 5PM and we were one of the first served. That may have made a difference in our service but our server was above excellent. She had great ideas for the meal plan and she was very attentive to our every need!

Our food was incredible! The very best we have every had in Disney! We plan on going back on this trip and in fact DH wants to eat there twice!

We're thinking of trying the Concourse Steakhouse next weekend as part of the Dining Plan. I checked out the menu on AllEars and it says you can add a skewer of garlic butter roasted jumbo shrimp to any entree for $9.99. Can anyone tell me whether this (or similar add-ons at other restaurants) would be included on the Dining Plan? Thanks in advance!

Phil

I would say do the Concourse Steakhouse. The menu at Spoodles isn't what it used to be.....

It is Oak-fired New York strip with sweet potatoe steak fries and a horseradish chive cream drizzle with a shrimp add on. The shrimp add on was included in the dining plan. It was very tasty !!! :teeth:

Spoodles!!!!!

We went to both on our vacation December of 2005 and hands down spoodles was better.

I still haven't figured how to link a post but you can find a review for both of the resturants in my review I've posted on these boards.
