LeCellier is booked solid for the day we are shooting for so im wondering if Concourse Steakhouse is worth making an ADR for or should I look at other options. Im on the dinning plan so we are trying to do places we havent been too as well get the most for our dollar. This is the only ADR involving steak, but im not opposed to selecting somewhere else....HELP PLEASE! My other ADS are currently: Ohana, Tony's, Hoop Dee Doo...1 TS :confused3

Concourse Steakhouse was not bad. Le Cellier is definitely better. It's a bummer you can't get it. Keep calling.

Have you tried Chefs de France? It's not steak, but the Beef Short Ribs were fabulous. I want some right now. hehe. Also the Tarte a la Flamme Alsacienne is something to be tried. It's a French Pizza made with cream and onions and bacon. It's just like they make it in Alsace. And it's wonderful.

I've read on here that many people like the Yachtsman Steakhouse, if you are looking for steak.

I personally love concourse and recommend it to everyone. We try to visit every trip and have never had a bad experience. We also have taken a large group there and everyone was very pleased with the entire meal.
The only bad thing about it is the noise level. It can get loud depending on how busy chef mickey's is considering it is right next door and they have a party every 20 minutes.
One other thing to consider is that concourse will be closing soon, so it could be your last chance to experience it.

if you are on the dining plan and can afford 2 table service per person; the steaks at Yachtsman steak house are out of this world. we just came back and we plan on eating there again on next visit.

I think it is 2 TS but I would go to the Yachtsman. For 1 TS I would go to Kona

We ate at Concourse Steak House last year on the dining plan. The food was good (not as good as my mushroom filet at Le Cellier ;) ), but I felt really rushed. Salad was on the table within 3 minutes, main course 5 minutes later, dessert 10 minutes after that. It was a little noisy, but it was the rushing that made it less than stellar. :( We probably won't be back.

We dined at Concourse last year and enjoyed it! However, Le Cellier is better! Also, Concourse is going away soon so now is your chance! They are moving and renaming the restaurant.

The solution for that is to not order everything right away. We often do that when we go out. Order your app right away but tell them you are still deciding on your entree. Same thing for dessert.

yachtsman steakhouse is really good if you are willing to use 2 dinner services.

When is it moving/changing names, I wont be going till October????

We had an excellent experience at the Concourse! :thumbsup2

I hear really good things about Kona and so-so things about Concourse. We have LC next month (loved it twice last year) and we will try Kona. I wasn't impressed with the NY strip at Coral Reef but we are trying it again.

We ate at the Concourse Steak house and we weren't that impressed. Very noisy and the food wasn't that good. Service was good. We weren't that impressed with Le'Cellier either. I know we are in the minority with this opinion. We thought it was OK, but were glad we were on the dining plan. It certainly would not have been worth what we would have had to pay for it.

We ate at Chefs de France this year and loved it! Best meal we have had at WDW. But, I have read on here that many people don't like it.

So, you really don't know.

We loved The Concourse and Le Cellier last December. At Concourse I had a great filet and my DH got one of the daily specials-a 24 oz porterhouse! We're both big fans of steak and we enjoyed both restaurants. Had great service, too. We were concerned that Concourse would not be kid-friendly, but the cm's there were very nice.

I would say that Le Cellier was slightly better, but Concourse was wonderful, too!

My whole family and all my friends prefer Concourse over Canada! We have never had a bad dinner or service at Concourse .... something we certainly can't say about Canada. Enjoy the Concourse while you can. It is closing in first quarter of 2008 and relocating as an entirely different restaurant (name, menu, etc.) on the first floor. What a loss!!!

Having been to both, I prefer Le Cellier over Concourse. I prefer Pecos Bill's over Concourse to tell you the truth.

The service there is always good, but we find that the steaks lack flavor, the sides are bland and the desserts are mediocre at best.

If it makes any difference, I am from Texas, where we are known for good steaks. ;)

Everybody has their own tastes though, so you just may enjoy it a lot. Good luck with whatever you decide.

Here's some info on the change:

The Food and Fun Center will close in July to be converted to a new table service restaurant. Beginning July 30, 2007, a temporary quick service restaurant called Tempo Grab and Go will operate near the Outer Rim lounge on the 4th Floor. It will be open through August 14, 2008. The new table service location will be called The Wave, and is tentatively set to open in late March or April 2008. Once The Wave opens, the Concourse Steakhouse will close and a new, permanent quick service restaurant will be constructed in that space, set to debut in mid-August 2008.

I think you will be happy with the Concourse Steak House. True it is not as good as Le Cellier, but it is a good alternative. When we went last year, we were on the DDP and we noticed that our bill was higher at the Concourse than at Le Cellier. The Concourse is a great deal if you are on the DDP.

We just returned Monday from a magical 8 day trip , and I have to say, I absolutely loved everything about our trip but our dinner at the Concourse. It was disgusting to say the least. My husband's steak was cold, and my prime rib was flavorless. We wasted table credits there for sure. We were lucky enough to eat at Le Cellier 2x on our trip, once for lunch and once for dinner. Love this place!!! Please do not waste your time at Concourse.
