Ok so I am a bit confused about how they help you with your ps's. lets say i want to go to v&A they tell you to call ages in advance to get a seat here. and you don't have contact with your concierge cm until 2 months before. are you supposed to go ahead and make you reservations or can they pull strings and get your a seat?
 
Each restaurant holds so many tables for concierge. If concierge doesn't need them then they release those tables.

thanks! I was worried that despite paying the extra i would have to do everything myself anyway. now i will just make a list and have it ready.

Will that work even for character meals?
 
I wouldn't wait.

We stayed at the GF for our honeymoon and by the time we were contacted by the concierge staff they couldn't get us into the character meal at their own hotel!

Call well in advance and make the PS if it's important to you.

I think if you want anything special like character meals, you're better off making those PS's asap than relying on concierge.
 
You can contact the concierge as far in advance as you like. I have already contacted the BWI staff about our August trip and the Poly staff about our December trip! I have always allowed the planning staff to make all my ps, including CRT and Wishes and Illuminations cruises and have never been let down.

good ferry, how do you go about contacting them?
 
karemore, how long did you wait? Im staying at GF and hoping not to have a problem........ :scared1:
 
Concierge can't book your ps's before the standard window opens up, so anything prior to 90 days should be fine. I know there are other things that open up much sooner, like Cirque tickets and V&A's. If you wanted anything like that, then I would contact them even earlier. What they'll do is put your requests into the computer and when the window dates open up, they'll pop them in for you. It's usually not a big deal.
 
We emailed Conc. as soon as we booked, and had decided on PS's, then about 91 days before I re-emailed the PS's ----yes I am a little obessive--but hey, its FOOD.

We were able to get almost everything. And they didn't tell me to take a hike or anything.
 
We just had all of our PS's, character meals, and pirate adventure for the little ones booked by AKL Concierge. They got all the PS withing 10 minutes of our requested times. The best thing to do is try and e-mail your concierge contact and let them know when your coming down if they haven't e-mailed you by now. The AKL concierge even set up a babysitter for us to use while me and DW go to Epcot for dinner. After setting everything up they e-mailed us back the times and rules for all the events. Saves you the hastle and cost of calling every morning hoping to get the PS's. Good luck in getting the things you want.
 
I have a question... We are splitting our stay in Oct. For the first 2 nights we are going to stay concierge (haven't decided which resort yet) and then we move to our HAFH stay. Will the concierge staff only book our PS for the 2 nights we are there or will they help with our entire weeks stay? Just wondering! :scratchin

As a courtesy, the pre-planning staff can extend their services to cover your entire trip. Just check with the appropriate staff when you complete your reservation.
