I have a few questions.
1. Concierge or not? I have seen lots of posts giving accolades to staying with concierge. I guess since I haven't stayed concierge that I do not know what I am missing.;)
2. What are the benefits for concierge? I make all the PS ressies well in advance myself. I know we spent more time in our rooms than what I had originally expected.
3. If I miss a PS ressie that we really have to do, can they get it?
4. What else have I missed about concierge??? :teeth:
Thanks for the help.

My family stayed at the Poly concierge last summer for the first time. We loved it!!! Yes it does cost more but we are a family of five and absolutely loved the convience of starting our day in a lovely lounge with gracious cms and great food. We were then ready to greet the day early as parks opened and enjoy attractions without having to hassle with finding a place to eat. When we came back for an afternoon break we were greeted with warm hospitality and an awesome cold delicous fruit drink and trail mix and cookies. After a little siesta we would take a short trip to pool or a park nearby and then return for some awesome warm treats, for more info. I just learned about a site that TIkki man has set up that lists the fare. It was also such a treat to have our beds turned down and fresh towels awaiting us in the evening, and then last but not least we would be greeted with sumptious desserts to end the day while we enjoyed the fireworks on our balcony or you could choose to watch from the lounge. We also loved the fact that we had a supply of water to take in the parks with us, I know they no longer have plastic bottles but you may kindly ask for a glass liter bottle that you can pour into your own personal water canister. We found that we ended up eating only one meal in the park between 1-3pm and that was it. No we were not gluttons, but enjoyed single servings and found them to be more then sufficient. we aren't really into alcoholic beverages, but to those who enjoy there were cordials and wine. As you can see I have'nt even mentioned the use of the ps sittings because we only used thenm once. For us the experience was really great and a worthy investment the cms were kind and hospitable it was truly (and I hate cliches) "magical"

My first experience with Disney CL is coming up in August (AKL). I did it mainly so we could do the Sunrise Safari. We also plan to be at the resort a couple afternoons so know we will be able to make use of the concierge lounge.

If most of your day is at the parks and you wouldn't be getting back to the resort till late, you wouldn't be able to take advantage of what the lounge offers.

It has been delightful to only have to send an e-mail requesting PS - no 7 AM baited breath calls. The IPO at AKL are extremely efficient. Often, replies are received less than 10 minutes after I wrote them. At AKL one of the benefits is their "meet and greet." No front desk lines - the bellman takes you directly to your room (if ready) or to the CL lounge.

I am sure we will feel wonderfully pampered and am looking forward to it. And who knows after our August trip, I may decide there is no other way to travel.
