What kid of food/bevergaes are put out for the concierge rooms? Are all hotels the same as far as food and drink go? I was wondering about the AKL?

I'm sure someone else could give a little more info but----

at the CR atrium club in 2006 they had--

breakfast-- light items like oatmeal some breads and pastries.
for the majority of the day they had snacks out like cookies, rice crispy treats, and chips and pretzels.
At night they would have some desserts and wine and cheese, crackers, and stuff like that.

Throughout the day they had a wide selection of drinks to choose from.

* note I'm sure they had more this is just what I remember.

It was very nice and we were impressed with all the offerings.

Dear Yaksak,
We stayed at AKL CL about 2 years ago, I am not sure if it has changed. In the morning there were bagels, pastries, muffins, cereal (atleast 2 were kid friendly- I emailed the concierge ahead of time to find out which ones, because my kids are picky) There was hot oatmeal, juices, water, milk. (Coffee, tea and a cappaccino maker for adults) It was a good breakfast, we were happy.
Midday- Pretzels, gummy bears, I cannot remember it was not a whole bunch

Evening- Sometimes there were Chicken Nuggets, I remember Uncrustables PBJs.

My son is really hard to feed, so we kept a box of rice chex in our room so he could have cereal if need be.

Also there were yogurts in the am too. It was a excellent experience, I do not think you will be disappointed.

We stayed there a couple of years ago also.

Breakfast was great - especially I loved going to the lounge before everyone else woke, and making some yummy espresso and cappucinos, enjoying the morning paper, then I'd bring some items back to the room for everyone. They even gave me a tray to use.

Also nice is a little fridge with sodas and milks to take whenever you wanted one. And if you wanted a beer any time, just ask. They have Casablanca beers, and you can also get wine anytime.

The evenings appetizers were sometimes so much we didn't want dinner - skewers of shrimp, beef, or some other meats, little pastries filled with a couscous, other yummy items. Usually something DS with food allergies could have, or I'd run down to Mara and get him a hot dog (then I think they got rid of those - grrrr).

We were there over Christmas break/ New Years Eve, so we stayed at the resort a lot (avoided the crowds at the theme parks). So it was nice.

If you like Boma and Jiko, you'll love it, as that's where the evening foods come from. Although it's not supposed to be a substitute for a meal, if you're a light eater, it is sometimes.

Also, they booked us on Breathless Illuminations Cruise for new years eve! I just asked if some time during the week they could get us on an illuminations cruise in my pre planning from them. They went overboard! We didn't even know what Breathless was until we showed up at the Yacht Club dock. Wow.
