Thinking about upgrading to concierge and will have DD, SIL, and 2yr old GD. Have never sailed concierge before so have a few questions please. How are the lounges/sundeck areas handled with small children? Specifically looking at concierge on the WISH and there are currently staterooms available on decks 12 and 13. Have always booked two staterooms but there is a 1 bedroom available. How comfortable is the pull out sofa bed? I assume its a real sofa bed and not the new pull down out of the wall ones? Several rooms still available on our cruise and just wondering whether to bite the bullet and book now or wait and try to book at port? Would there be a big price difference ? Any other suggestions is greatly appreciated!

I found our concierge cruises with my 3 year old to be delightful. This was on the Dream, but being across from the lounge was amazing! I could run across the hall to grab a soda or a snack while DD napped. When she woke up early, she could stay in her pjs to have breakfast and watch cartoons while I drank my coffee. The hosts would talk to her and ask about her day. They also helped us get nursery times (she wasn’t PT during our first cruise,) and adjusted our Palo reservation to not conflict with the princess gathering. The lounge was also great to have a place to go that was fun but had less stimulation than the rest of the ship.

We were just on the Wish in a one bedroom (12022) on Deck 12 from 8/15-8/22. We have teens, but there were a number of families in concierge with young children. Kids were in the lounge throughout the day, but it was mostly adults, as there isn't really much in there that is of interest to kids. There are food items with a (small) menu selection, but unless the child is pretty adventuresome, options are limited. If the two-year old is in a diaper, deck 12 concierge is a great location, because you can take her to the Toy Story splash zone to play. There really isn't much for a young child, or any child, on the sun deck itself, particularly if still in a diaper. The pool is a very shallow pool with a waterfall bench.

Our 16 year-old daughter found the sofa bed plenty comfortable, and our 13-year-old son slept fine on the twin Murphy bed that folds out from the divider between the couch and dining table. A curtain separates those two areas, which is a nice touch.

The lounge is absolutely fantastic for adults. If you think you want concierge, I'd book it now and not wait til the port.

Thanks so much for your input. I had just now posted a couple of other newbie questions and if you could look at that thread and answer them I would be so grateful!
