Concierge suite: MDRs in room. Only lumiere’s?

We just got off the magic. Sailed concierge in a one bedroom. We were told that room service from the MDRs was now only available from lumieres. Yuck. They said it was a recent change.

Does anyone know... Is this only on the magic or all ships?

Very disappointing change. Rapunzels royal table was actually really good (food quality) and we were hoping to order it in one night. No such luck.

Well that's not a positive sign. I know that you could only order food from one menu each evening (no appetizer from AP, entree from Lumiere's, dessert from Rapunzel's.) I hope it was just a miscommunication about just picking one menu.

Unfortunately we asked two different hosts on two different nights. And made it clear we wanted to order from rapunzels. They both said it was a recent change and only could order from lumieres.

I’m hoping this is just on the magic. Otherwise, we will still likely sail concierge but this is a big loss for us.

Only Royal Court? Or any MDR? Was this recently?

You used to be able to order from all 3 MDRs. Last year on the fantasy we could, at least.

End of April and when we asked about ordering from an MDR we were told Royal Court. so my belief is only Royal Court.

I have never sailed concierge and probably never will. The two restaurants on deck 3 share a connected kitchen so if they can get food from Lumiere's I can't see why they couldn't get food from the other restaurant That said perhaps the restaurants that are trying to time a show element (Animators, Tiana's, the new one on the Magic, can't easily prepare one-off food orders so they decided to say just that one restaurant.

When I was on the Fantasy in January we could only order from Royal Court. Our hosts said it was a change on all ships starting this year. The reason she gave is it was becoming too difficult for servers to go to all 3 restaurants.

We could order from whatever MDR we were assigned to that night. Although, we didn’t ask if we could have ordered from whichever restaurant we wanted, regardless of if it was our assigned night.
