Okay, so after reading posts about the concierge rooms, I want to stay in one of those!!! People who have staying at the DLH and PP which one did you like best? I know DLH is much older, so I was leaning toward PP, but then I read about how close the monorail is, and the pool looks like so much more fun at DLH... help me please!!!

And no, my husband still hasn't said we can go... I have now offered up my future anniversary and birthday presents in trade for the trip.

My family has always stayed at the concierge at DLH and enjoyed the lounge and our room. You can watch the fireworks from the lounge with piped in sound. The pools are far superior at the DLH.

DLH is older, but it's been refurbished in recent years, and the rooms certainly don't look it. Now, mind you, I'm not terribly picky, and I love both the PPH and the DLH, but you asked about the pool, and I've got to tell you, the Neverland Pool is huge, and themed, and has two waterslides (one big and one for little people), and it's themed. Did I mention that it's themed? Theming may not matter to some people, but hey, something keeps drawing us back to Disneyland year after year.

The PPH pool is a big rectangle. The coolest thing about it is that it has a big loopy waterslide that kids of any size can go on because it doesn't empty into the pool, it empties into a splash area. In the Neverland pool, my daughter wasn't allowed on the slide for years because she was too little and she couldn't swim to the side. Not so with the PPH waterslide, and she spent all her pool time there.

It's already been mentioned, but the concierge lounge in DLH also overlooks the park, and pipes in the music during the fireworks so it's just about like being there. Maybe even better because the crowds are smaller. :woohoo: It's got an awesome view!

Now, I know I'm being disloyal to the PPH--it was my first Disney hotel and I love the sunshiney beachy decor :beach: --but if I was going to go concierge, I'd totally go with DLH

Thanks to you both... hmmm... I do love the pics of the Neverland themed pool... my daughter, as well as loving princesses, also thinks Peter Pan is pretty cool... and that the Crocodile is hilarious! So I think she'd get a kick out of the pool area. She doesn't swim, and is tiny... so if she could ride with me on the big waterslide at PP then that would work... but otherwise, she probably wouldn't do it... leaning hard toward DLH... and the concierge level of course... still working on my hubby!
