Concierge Question...

I'm newer to these boards & have decided on going to Disney at staying at the Poly for our honeymoon.. I haven't yet booked but plan to do so this week.. can someone explain what concierge is & what it includes.. I never heard of it before I read it on this site & am wondering if this is something I should look into.. sorry if this question sounds dumb to some of you but I'm new to all of this Disney stuff!
