Concierge Question - First Time Cruiser

We are heading out this Saturday on the Fantasy for our first cruise ever and we are beyond excited!!

We have a port arrival time of 10:30. After check in we are going to head over to the supervisors desk and inquire about upgrades to concierge level.

We currently are booked into category 5A, on the 10th floor just under the Cove area. Our current location seems pretty convenient to everything and we are absolutely fine to stay there. We just learned about the upgrade possibility so we figured why not!

Here's our question for previous cruisers... is it worth it to upgrade to a concierge family room? We have stayed in the concierge Animal Kingdom Lodge and loved it. Would it be similar to that?

My husband just wants to be ready to say yes or no once the supervisor lets us know what, if any, are available.

I'm on the same cruise! Currently there is only the Royal Suite available in concierge. Current price for 3 people? $21,000.

We'll be concierge for the first time next year, so I'm not much help but&

If there's a Royal is available, someone in a suite or a V may upgrade at port or before, leaving one of those rooms open for you.
