Forgive me if I'm asking a very stupid question but I was reading the concierge thread because I thought my family might be interested in that room type. I've always thought that concierge was "free snacks" but I see that there are email addresses to contact the concierge and check in is different too? So would soneone be able to explain what else is offered besides "free snacks"? lol

We stayed at AKL club leavel last year and got: Special check in desk only for concierge, An IPO to help plan ADR's etc, Nightly turn down service, A chance to go on a club level tour (at extra cost) and of course the 'free' drinks and snanks throught the day.
We are DVC members and really enjoyed it for a few days but i am not sure I would spend alot of extra money on the services they offer for a long stay.

Disney club levels are not at the same level as concierge levels at other deluxe hotels outside of WDW.

At Disney you can expect the separate check-in. You will have access to the lounge which will offer continental breakfast, midday snacks, hot entrees and snacks in the evening, some beer, wine, cordials (limited).

Additionally, the IPOs will make reservations for you, WDW dining, WDW tours, etc.

You will also get evening turndown service.

Also, if you stay club level and purchase any items with resort delivery, the items will be placed in your room for you rather than you having to retrieve them yourself.

Also, you'll have robes in your room as well as access to DVDs and board games that you can borrow at no extra cost. The CL rooms are located on an area that requires scanning of your room key to get in (either a secured floor or secured building depending on the resort). These rooms are generally considered to be the best locations (highest floor, closest building to pool, etc depending on the resort).

From 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM all the Club Level lounges offer various Beer and Wine along with hot snacks and various items. Then from 8:00 PM - 10:00 PM they offer desserts and cordials.

Now at the Contemporary on their Atrium Club Level floor when they put their various bottles of Beer in the fridge they are not taken away until 10:00 PM, so I think they are the only lounge which does that. Plus at any of the lounges if you wanted a Beer before they are put out at 5:00 PM you can ask for one and the Cast Members will then get it for you.

Now some of the other Club Level lounges like the Boardwalk Inn and Beach Club offer Oatmeal 365 days a year, which is not available for breakfast at the other lounges. Plus the Beach Club is the only one to offer Hard Boiled Eggs with their breakfast items.

Finally at the Boardwalk Inn I have seen them offer V8 Tomtato Juice in bottles during breakfast, so I am not sure if any of the other lounges have it available.

Polynesian Club had oatmeal every morning that we've been there and we've been able to ask for beers in the afternoon as well.

From a Fellow Cleavlander . . .

1) Disney has Club Floor, not Concierge Floor.
2) They do not offer true Concierge quality service.
3) They do offer beverages all day long (7:30am-10:00pm)
4) During certain periods, they have snack service.
. . . breakfast period
. . . luncheon period
. . . afternoon snacks
. . . dinner/evening snacks
5) They also offer a service to make dinner ADR's for you. *

* They do not have magical powers with ADR's, as they cannot
get you ressies that you are not able to get yourself. But, they
can try for them early and often, so they still might score a
ressie that you might otherwise miss.

You also get turn-down service, robes, and some lounges offer special perks. At AKL, you're able to book the Sunrise Safari. Club/Concierge is about a higher level of service.

Also, 1 more "perk" that is important to me. You generally stay on a private floor. (You need your keycard to have the elevator to stop on your floor.) I really like the extra security.

Don't think of anything as "free". You do pay as your room is quite a bit higher in price than other rooms.

Just want to clarify that all lounges offer oatmeal, though some only seasonally. The WL/Old Faithful Club has beer in the fridge from 5-10 and they also offer tomato juice in the morning. The YC/Regatta Club also has sliced hard boiled eggs - yum! And, CRRF4L is correct that you can always ask for something that isn't out and the CL staff will try to get it for you and you can also take food and drinks to your room and even store drinks in your fridge.

That's not true, at least for the restaurants located in the resorts where the guests are staying. I was told when the Club Level Cast Members log onto the ADR system it can see they are doing it from a Club Level lounge. So if the guest tried to get an ADR for a reservation at their resort themselves and was told it was not available, chances are the Club Level Cast Members can get them that ADR. Now if the system still says it's sold out then the Club Level Cast Members usually call the restaurant directly, say they are calling from the Club Level lounge and that usually gets the guest an ADR.
