Concierge, is it worth it? + Pool & Resort ?'s

Is it worth paying the extra to have a concierge level room? What is included? Also, are the day beds in the rooms large? For example the one at the Contemporary sleep 2 small kids. I would prefer a king (kiddos try to sleep with us on vacation) so am hoping the day bed will fit 2 ages 4 & 5.

Also, is the GC so WL like that we would be better off staying at DL hotel for a different experience? How themed is the Peter Pan pool at DL? Are the character references or just the ship?

We stayed at the GC Concierge a couple years back for the 4th of July. I can't say I'd do it again. It wasn't that it was bad. I just couldn't justify the cost. They had a continental breakfast in the lounge every morning (ceral, fruit, muffins). We did stop there every morning. But it wasn't something we filled up on. They had beverages and light snacks through the day. Mostly fruit and cookies. Again, we spent so much time in the parks that we didn't really stop by too much. I know they did offer storytelling for children. I'm sure Concierge is fine for many people. We just didn't use their services enough to justify the additional $ each night.

As far as theming, GC does feel alot like WL. The Disneyland Hotel is more of a standard "hotel" except it has the Neverland Pool. It does have the crocodile from Peter Pan in the pool area, but if it's not something you can touch. I did notice that the GC Pool area didn't seem as crowded as DLH Neverland Pool. Other than the pool, DLH has the dancing water show and the remote control boats. But you don't need to be guests to enjoy these, you can just walk over to the hotel.

I can't help you on the beds though. I don't remember any daybeds in our rooms.
