A few answers...

The entire 7th floor is dedicated to club level. CL rooms are only on the 7th floor.

We requested a bunkbed room for our 7 DD from concierge, she flipped she loved it so much. Slept on the top bunk every night!

Bear face rooms are the ones if you have your back to the pools look up at the resort, they resemble a bear's face.

Last year was our first trip to WL and first time staying CL. WL is now our new favorite resort and once you go CL you never go back.

The concierge was very generous to our DD. They left her treats every night. Of course, long story short, the maid tossed out her favorite stuffed animal by accident never to be seen again.
I am trying to figure out if I should put in a room request or not. I am pretty sure we won't be disappointed no matter what. My kids will be DD13&10 and DS7 at the time of travel. Last Dec we stayed at The Poly and my kids loved going to Captain Cook's to fill up their mugs and get a snack all ontheir own. I think I would like a room close to the lounge so they can grab a soda on their own but I am not sure about the placement of any of the rooms can someone help me out? Thanks

I have another CL question since this is my first time staying CL. Now I have 2 months before I need to make my ADRs but I wanted to know this now. I have heard (from you guys) that a CM from CL will make your ADRs. Do they contact me before my 180 days out? Do I contact them. The only thing I received was an email from WDW, right after I booked, thanking me for booking CL...or something to that nature.

I have a GF Sugarloaf Coffee question --- in all of the pictures I have seen posted that shows the Sugarloaf Club Level area it appears that the only type of coffee is out of a machine and it looks like expresso, flavored, cappuccino, etc. but nothing looks like plain black coffee. DH only drinks plain black coffee. He can't stand what he calls "foofy" coffee. Is he going to be able to get plain black coffee from Sugarloaf?

If not I'm going to have to make a back up plan to get DH his morning coffee so I don't have a cranky grump on my hands all day long.....

There is black coffee. It is Nescafe. It will destroy your intestines. Be warned. Bring your own.

lol! I believe that is the same stuff they had/have in the BC Marketplace which DH did drink last year although he wasn't real impressed with it. DH is spoiled with the Keurig we have at home.

Do the Club Level rooms have a coffee maker/coffee pot in them like the regular rooms do? If so, what size pot are they (i.e. how many cups do they brew)? Trying to figure out the easiest way to bring "real" coffee for DH.

Yes, they have the 4 cup makers in them. You'd need a #2 filter, and then just bring a bag of your favorite ground coffee. It helps to use bottled water, which you can get from the Club Level lounge.

We stayed BC CL last week. Oddly enough, I found the coffee to be pretty good. I think they used filtered water in the Club Lounge Nescafe machine, because it was WAY better than the crap I got out of the coffee machine at the Contempo Cafe last year at the CR... (after ONE coffee from there, I went down to the coffee kiosk in the lobby for the rest of the week for real coffee).

The machine made "froo froo" coffees, but also just regular "coffee" which is what I drank all week. Did not mess me up in the slightest. :confused3

WL-IPO may or may not contact you (it seems to be hit-or-miss with all the IPO's). That said, you have a confirmed reservation? Go ahead and send them an email (page 1, post 1 of this thread). Introduce your family, tell them you'd like them to make your ADRs at the 180-day mark; you don't have to give them your list yet, but get the dialog started with them now! :thumbsup2 You can also tell them about your room request (they should know the best way to phrase it for you) -- they can add it to your reservation.

If any of the ADRs, tours, etc that you want require a CC # for guarantee or prepayment, you will have to speak with the IPO on the phone at some point before day 180.

When you send the intial email, you should receive an auto-response within minutes. If not, your email probably didn't go through. After the auto-response email, if you haven't heard back from the IPO within 2 days, either email again or call them.

:)

Hi all! We just got back from an AMAZING week at Beach Club, CL. We had booked a standard/garden view room, and got upgraded to the BEST view imaginable! We were in room 5687, next door to the Nantucket Suite! We had a frontal lagoon view, with SAB right below us, the BWI across, and the YC, S/D to the right. It was so nice! We had requested a room with a daybed (although we are only a party of 4) for our son with autism. The IPO staff was SO helpful and friendly over emails prior to the trip, and they assured me that they would have a hand in the room assignment. Did they ever! They rock! :cool1: I was under the impression that there were no rooms with daybeds that had a Water View, (maybe there are only a handful, which is why they are not bookable for parties of 5...), so I NEVER expected to open the drapes and be hit with such an amazing view!

Overall, we give the BC CL an A+! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2 The lounge, although small, was very nice. The staff in the lounge was so friendly and helpful. I always felt weird asking for things (bottles of water, extra food or cups, etc.) but they NEVER acted put out or anything. They did everything with a smile on their face and went that extra mile again and again for us. One of our sons is 4, and he LOVED those Swedish Fish. Well, one afternoon, we got back too late, and the lounge was closed after the "snacks" time, and our son started crying because it had become routine to run to the lounge after returning to the parks and grabbing some snacks (he's sort of a brat that way). ;) Well, the CM at the desk fussed over him and promised she'd have gummy fish out during the 5-7pm appetizer hour. I told her over and over that it was okay, not necessary, etc. Well, later as we came back to our room after swimming, there was a little baggie of gummy fish tied to our room door handle! Wow! Talk about personalized service. :goodvibes

The food was great too! We actually ate the majority of the time in there, and only ate "real" meals a couple of times all week. There was plenty (IMO) to make a big, filling breakfast daily as well as a substantial dinner off the evening offerings. We don't eat big, hearty meals generally (we're more snackers, light meal eaters), so it was perfect for us. We loved the evening desserts every night, and all week, I only bought ONE treat (a cheesecake brownie from BW Bakery). We bought a total of 4 ice creams for our kids all week too, because they LOVED the desserts in the lounge and got their fill in there. Gotta love all you can eat cookies that run $2.79 each in the parks...:thumbsup2. For the whole week, for our family of four, our "room charge" totaled $612, and that included a $100 meal for two at Bluezoo as well as all our souvenirs and random purchases. We charged EVERYTHING to the room, and the CL was most definitely a huge value for us, food/drink/treat wise.

Our mousekeeper, Fenelita, was fabulous as well! Our room was always freshly made up (she was watching us, and figured out our "normal" routine). We never caught her making up our room. She was very stealth. Always vacuumed up our kid's crumbs from eating in the room. :lmao: Always replenished towels, toiletries, etc. and cleaned our room until it shone. And, left us more chocolate every night than we could eat! We brought back a ziploc bag full. :) We NEVER came back to a room that had not been serviced, and loved the daily turndown service too. She was great. :thumbsup2

Overall, we found the BC to be an outstanding family resort. LOVED SAB! We have found our new home, and will be returning to BC CL many times in the coming years!

Thanks for the review. Glad you had such a great vacation. We are headed to BC CL next month and can't wait :cool1:

We always stayed at boardwalk resorts. Want to try something new. I want to stay at AKL cl or POLY cl. Its just me and DH. Which would you choose and why?

If those were my ONLY choices, probably Poly. AKL is too far removed and at night, there is NOTHING around to do. At least at Poly, you can hop the monorail and be at two other resorts. Plus, the food in the Poly CL appeals to me more, personally, so I'd pick that one.

That said, I'd honestly choose NEITHER of those. I feel the Poly is overpriced and think the lack of a hot tub, second sink in the bathroom, and possibility of second floor room with NO balcony to be a huge turnoff for a Deluxe resort. I also dislike all the outdoor walking there.

If you are into the lodge atmosphere, I'd actually recommend WL over AKL. DH and I spent our honeymoon there and stayed CL, and LOVED it. It was great for a couple. Very romantic resort, and liked being "close" to some action, but far enough away that it felt secluded.

Having said THAT, we just got back from a week at BC CL and it was our first time staying in the Epcot resort area. We LOVED it, much moreso than the WL and Contemporary. Epcot resorts area ROCKS, IMO. Loved the short walk into Epcot, and all the activities available in the area. Dining was superb as well (the signature restaurants at Swan and Dolphin are TOP NOTCH!). I think if it was just me and DH, we'd likely choose YC CL. With the kids, the BC is where it's at, but I think YC would be great for an adults only trip.

How was the club lounge at the BC CL? ... I am trying to decide whether to book the BC CL or YC CL for our next trip ... thanx ... :)

Just booked a WL Std. CL room for June. We have stayed there several times in the past ( latest was a year and a half ago). We have also stayed in both the Honeymoon Suite and a standard cl room; just love the resort :goodvibes . Has anything changed?

2 of my favorites. It really depends on YOU. You cannot go wrong with either but AKL CL is my favorite :cloud9: Such a gorgeous place. I love the atmosphere there. Poly is wonderful too and gives you lots of options (beach, boat and monorail transportation, lots of restaurants close by...) but AKL has an ambiance that is just very unique. The animals, Jiko, WINE, firepits, gorgeous pool area, beautiful landscaping... I think you'd love it. Plus AKL has a really great CL lounge :flower3:

It was small. I counted seating for 33 people. But, it was well run, well stocked, and very comfortable. I found the food very good. It was all fresh, tasty, and replenished quickly.

We ate in our room often, if the lounge was super busy. This happened mainly at breakfast time. It was easy to take food back to our room and eat on the little table in there.

The lounge was GREAT during the evening dessert offerings. Hardly anyone was ever in there and it was nice place to relax and unwind.

I read a lot of so-so and/or negative reviews of BC/YC CL. However, I found it better than WL CL and only a notch below Disney's Grand Californian CL, which is superb. We will def. return.

If you have kids, I think you'd find yourself more enjoying BC vs. YC. The food offerings (particularly dessert) are more kid friendly over at BC. More stuff like brownies, rice krispie treats, Oreo Bon Bons, etc. The YC tends to have stuff like mini tarts, lemon bars, etc. In the mornings, the BC had oatmeal with various toppings, banana bread, cinnamon rolls, bagels, and either blueberry, chocolate chip, or lemon poppy muffins. There was a good selection of different kinds of bagels (everything, plain, cinnamon raisin, sesame seed) as well as croissants. There was also fruit (melons, pineapple, apples, oranges, and bananas) as well as a good selection of cold cereal and juices. Yogurt was also available. Evening appetizers were good. We had spring rolls, pot stickers, duck quesadillas, duck empanadas, Mediterranean chicken skewers, bacon wrapped scallops, an assortment of cheeses, breads, and crackers. Cold side dishes like olive salad, rice or barley salads, and lobster salad. There were rolls and little cups of PB&J for the kids (our kids loved this...they would make little soft sandwiches) as well as sliced green apples with caramel dipping sauce. Lots of fresh veggies and dips as well.

Desserts were: cookies (choc. chip and sugar) daily, caramelized mini cheesecakes, brownies, Oreo Bon Bons, rice krispie squares, raspberry/vanilla mousse cups, chocolate/peanut butter mousse cups.

Drinks were several kinds of beer, two different red and white wines as well as a zinfandel, plus all the little cordial liqueurs. Perrier and Evian water was always available. Juices included OJ, Cranberry, and Apple in the morning. In the afternoon and evening: Lemonade, Cranberry Juice, Iced Tea and Apple Juice. There was always cans of Coke, Diet coke, Sprite and Ginger Ale in the fridge. Coffee and tea was always available.

The daily snack was cookies, homemade kettle chips with chipotle ranch dip, gummy fish, yogurt covered pretzels, and banana chips, along with the drinks.

There are two t.v.'s in the lounge. One was always tuned to ABC and the other was always on Disney Channel for the kids.

The CM's were awesome. We loved everything about the BC CL.

We picked YC CL over BC CL because of the balconies. I really wanted one and lots of BC rooms don't have a full balcony.

That's the reason I've been leaning towards the YC CL, the full balcony ... have you stayed at the YC CL before? ... if so, how was the club lounge? ...

We really enjoy AKL. IMO it has the best lobby of all the Disney resorts and the restaurants are excellent. Boma is one of the best buffets on property and we really like Jiko. However, if you are looking for 'nightlife' there is not much here and you are far from everything else. We love sitting on our balcony in the evening and watching the animals - be sure to get a savannah view room. The pool and fitness room are also excellent here.

Ok my DF is booking a trip for the whole family bless his heart and was either going to do club leavel or the basic dinning plan. From what I have read I would love the little perks that club level gives you since we are going with 6 adults and 4 children and I would like to get all my ADR's. I was wondering if I should still get a dinning plan in addition or just pay out of pocket for meals? My family loves to have one good meal a day but other then that something small is all we will need so does it work out??
Dinning plans are Hoop dee doo, Boma, Cape May Cafe Clam bake, Castle Dinner, Chef Mickeys, Sci-fi Cafe and a few others I think Thanks
