Has anyone booked the 'concierge club' level studio at AKV. We are staying there later this year and have a Sav. view studio. We are considering adding an extra night DW wants to try the club level...not sure if it's 'worth it' (i know 'worth it' is a somewhat relative term!) any feedback on the club level bookings would be great.

I think it's probably a moot point. There are VERY few studios with the Concerige level option (5?) SO if you don't book very far in advance... chances are VERY slim you will get one.

ok, thanks for being so VERY helpful.

so assuming we are willing to check availability for the dates we are interested, and that if it is unavailaible, we may want to try and book one of these rooms in the future, can anyone answer my original question?

I don't think one night is worth it. The hassle just of changing rooms won't be worth it. I think the concierge is worth it because we are not planning much time in the parks and will be spending lots of time in the hotel to take advantage of all the offerings during the day. Some people do book one night so they can do the Safari that is only offered to concierge guests on certain days of the week. The views of Savannah and pool are better on the 5th floor than the 6th/concierge floor. I like the offereings, the turndown service and not really having to clean up after myself since they take care of everything for you. I've noticed the concierge rooms are always cleaner than the 5th floor. I also like that if I want a specific dining reservation I can let them know what/when/where and they will take care of it for me. I have also had things delivered to the room while we were out such as small gifts and even desserts and they take care of it. Unless you are really using the service to it's full measurement, it is not worth the points. Unless you are booking that one night to enable yourself to book the safari, then I wouldn't do it. The true test is to try to book it for a few days together so you can enjoy it all.

thanks prxtc
that is helpful. we may try and book a few nights at that level one of our next trips instead of the one night they had available for this one.

Your welcome!

I am sorry that my response was not what you wanted to hear, but.....lmao:

if i'd have been asking about availability or the chances of getting that room booked, it would have been a good response. they do have the room available for the night in question or i wouldn't have asked.

For what it is worth, I booked a concierge studio with as little as 24 days advance notice in May and with 60 days notice in August. Not likely but don't count it out.

As far as Carole goes, evidently her life is all about negativity. I have been reprimanded before for my negative comments about her and I asssume that I will again but I agree with your perspective on her lack cooperation and positive demeanor.

Nice knowing you...I am sure that I will be booted for this one! ;)

It depends on where that night falls in your stay and what you plan to do that day. If it would be the first night of your trip then why not book it and give it a try? I don't mind moving after the first night of my stay -- we just live out of the suitcase that first night and then settle in for real when we move to wherever we're staying for the rest of the trip. I wouldn't do this in the middle of the trip or at the end of the trip though because that would be too disruptive for me.

Also, I would only do it if I was going to hang around AKL that evening and part of the next day so that I could experience what Concierge has to offer. It's a very difficult reservation to book so if you are able to grab that one night and it doesn't bother you to be homeless from 11AM to 4PM on your moving day, then give it a try. Then you will be able to judge for yourself whether it's worth it to try to book it for a longer stay next time. You will have the use of the lounge until midnight on your check out day so you will have a nice place to hang out while waiting for your Savanna View room to be ready.

Think I'll go for the extra points and try the Concierge Studio at least one time! I'm sure it will be worth the points..From what I've read, food presentation is AWESOME!

Although we'll be at Jambo, can't wait to try the Kidani pool and slide!:banana::banana::banana: :cool1::cool1::cool1:
