Hi there. I never really thought about having to make breakfast reservations but now I know for my group. Since it was just DH and I, it wasn't but a two-minute wait. They did say it was 25 minutes for parties of 4 or more.
Since Magical Express is free, we only had to pay for ground transfers for the cruise. It's $69 if you go from airport to port and port to airport. If you go from resort to port and port to resort or airport, they charge $70/person and we booked right through Disney. We just like the ease of using the Disney transportation. There are only 9 Disney resorts that you can use the cruise transportation from plus Animal Kingdom Park, otherwise, you'll have to handle your luggage on your own. To be honest, I would suggest just doing your land portion beforehand i.e.your two nights then going right from the ship back home afterward rather than doing one before and one after. Whatever you do, I just highly recommend you arrive one day before sailing, whether you stay at Disney or in Port Canaveral the night before is up to you.
As for "SR" - that's just my abbreviation for stateroom.
Well the only reason we are doing one before and one after is just for rest. We won;t be doing any parks. We most likely will come in one night early and then the next morning over to the port, and the day we get back, I was thinking of just staying over night for added rest for DD. She gets over stimulated, and I thought if we added a day of alot of sleep before we got on a plane would just do us all better. last year she screamed in the airport and a bit on the plane too. She just had it and couldn;t fall asleep. So for everyones sanity, including ours, I think a day of rest with no activities planned would do her a bit of good. Not for sure we will do this. But so far our last two trips, we have left on a Sunday and on Thursday she has puked. So if we plan nothing for Thursday, except naps and maybe some swim time, and dinner, she should do better. We won;t be doing any parks or real activities. But looking at prices, the Values are much different than any hotles near the port or at the airport. And then we could kind of see one that we never stayed at before.
Of course this is all in the air anyways. I still have to talk DH into going, and he is Mr last minute. Our trip last year was booked 13 days before we left, even though I had been on him about it for months.
