We would love to stay concierge at the Poly in August as we have done in the past but no rooms are available right now (I will keep trying). We have not been there in two years and would like to know from those of you who have stayed recently, is it still worth it or should I just leave our ressie for a regular GV? Thanks.

Our last stay in the Hawaii longhouse was October and it was great as always.

We stayed this past August in Hawaii and had wonderful service and time once again. Not a whole lot has changed other then the food they're serving in the CL. They switched it up a bit. It's still very good. Room was very clean and the CM's were wonderful.

We stayed there most recently this fall - 3rd floor water view. It's our favorite club level (concierge) experience. The room was clean, quiet, perfect. The view is magical. We've discovered that not every concierge lounge is open all hours as the one at the Poly is. Even if there's no food service happening, you can go in early in the morning or late at night to read or watch TV while the family is sleeping. The refrigerator is unlocked, so you can grab soda pop any time.

There's an upstairs section of the lounge, too, with a large bathroom. When we've had a late plane out from Orlando, we check out by 11 am and then go to the parks. Later we can change into our warmer flying home clothes in the bathroom. Your pass key for the Hawaii building remains useable until midnight of your checkout day. So we change clothes and grab a quick snack before heading to the airport. Can't beat that for convenience.

Thanks for the great info! My sister and I are staying there in March in a Lagoon view room, (the first for both of us!) and I am soooo excited about the concierge service. We are only there for four nights but I know it will be great!

We stayed CL at the Poly Nov/Dec 07. It was WONDERFUL. We came from CL AKL. I do still love AKL but the Poly is a favorite now as well. They took care of many of my ADR's. Even got us some last minute ones. I thought it was well worth the money.

Question: if you have a regular concierge room (not a suite) are you always in the building with the lounge?

How do you ensure a balcony? That would be a concern for me, as I understand some rooms don't have one.

Hawaii is the ONLY building with "standard" concierge rooms, and Tonga is the only building with suites. The main lounge is in Hawaii.

Balconies are on the 3rd floor of Hawaii. You just have to put in a 3rd floor request. Disney won't guaruntee it, but they do their best to help you out :thumbsup2
