Concierge at BoardWalk Inn?

Hello,

Does anyone have any experience with the concierge service at the Boardwalk Inn?

Specifically we would like to know what is included. Does it include soft drinks, juice, beer, wine, etc?

What kinds of snacks are available? What does the breakfast consist of?

We stayed at the BWI concierge for part of our honeymoon (we spent the first half at the GF), and we loved the BWI. The staff there is wonderful—very friendly and helpful! The pre-planning assistance was also great.

As far as the lounge food offerings go, breakfast consists of items such as muffins, bagels, danishes, fruit, etc. I recall mid-day snacks being things like goldfish crackers, cookies (yum!), popcorn, pretzels, etc. Soft drinks are available all day, and wine and cordials are available during the evening (I don’t know about beer).

The lounge is very elegant and comfortable with an intimate feel. Enjoy the BWI!

What is the pre-planner assistance I keep reading about? Does this come with a concierge booking?

We are considering upgrading our reservation of a package deal (standard view room) to concierge because my mother is going to come to WDW with us! She wants to keep the grandkids and have some fun.

Any problems or things to be aware of when upgrading our existing reservations?

You are staying at my all time favorite place!!! I love the cast of the Innkeeper's Club. They will do whatever it takes to make your trip as magical as possible. The food offerings are not my main reason for staying there, but they are wonderful. I do know my son and husband had beer in Oct. when we were there. If you need anything that is not out make sure and ask. The cast is so accomodating. Yes, they have juice water, iced tea and lemonade. The lounge is open all day, unlike some of the other resorts. It is large and very comfy. You are able to view the fireworks from Illuminations from the balcony.

The planning office is located at the YC. It serves the Epcot resort area. The planners are the best on property. You are able to cotact them before your trip and have them make any PS arrangements you may want. If you decide to upgrade I will be happy to send you the e-mail adress and Phone # for the office.

Are the Garden Suites also considered concierge?

Yes, the garden suites are concierge. They are quite a walk to the lounge though!
