Concierge and PSs...??

I asked this question over on the Restaurants board but have gotten no replies, so since it has to do with Concierge services, I thought I'd try over here. Here's what I had posted:


I have a question: For this trip we are staying concierge at the Wilderness Lodge. Should I ask ONLY them to make the PS for Cindy's breakfast for me, or should *I* try, or both??? Last time we were on our own (weren't staying concierge) and had 3 phone lines going at the same time!

So for all of you concierge experts, should I simply ask them to book this breakfast for us? If you have done this before, how successful were they in getting the Cinderella's breakfast for you? I'm not too concerned about the other PSs, this one is the hardest one to obtain though, and I'd much rather leave it in their hands, if this is something they would normally handle.

I would try both as well. SOmetimes the concierge drop the ball. It does not happen often but if the reservation is very important to you then I would try as well. I have had great luck with concierge reservations and you are identified on the priority seating as a concierge guest. Don't know for sure if it makes a difference but we have always gotten great tables.

I just went through this very thing yesterday. I sent my info to the Poly concierge(same people as WL). I didn't hear anything for 4 days. On Saturday afternoon, I got a call from Jason at the Poly asking for my cc# to secure the seating. He went over all my information with me. Yesterday, I checked my email at 8:30 and there was a confirmation for our ps at Cindy's for 8:05! It was exactly what we wanted and I had only spoken with concierge the day before. I did make our ps for Chef Mickey's and Ohana's. I like the planning, but I don't like getting up at 6:50a.m. knowing there is a good chance I won't get a seating! Good Luck!
