hehe I just saw the Indigo Girls for the first time last summer...really, I went to see Brandi Carlile with my gf at the time, who was opening for them. We didn't really stick around for much of their set. I'm not a huge fan...they're okay...I know, how very un-lesbian of ME! hehe

Brandi Carlile is amazing! I've seen her more than 20 times and she just keeps getting better. She's also incredibly sweet.

If you ever get a chance to see her with an orchestra, I HIGHLY recommend it. There simply are no words to describe what an amazing musical experience that is. I took my 17 year old daughter who was so moved by Hallelujah that she had tears coming down her cheeks.

I am getting jealous here . . .
Elton, Shakira, Indigo Girls, B-52s (WAAAAAAH I want to go too!!!!!)

my faves-

Bette Midler - seen her 5 times great every time
Divine - fun - and so dirty
Grace Jones - late - but a great performer
Elton John - seen him 3 times (once with billy) - like him better sans billy
The B52s - a BLAST (fyi my ringtone is Love Shack)
Cher - she did a great job - and the crowd was a trip
Cyndi Lauper - a dynamo - so powerful
Prince - amazing. he really is an artist.
Sade - she was spell binding, classy, smooth as silk - WOW

Still want to see-
The Stones
Bowie
Janet Jackson

I haven't been to any concerts in a long time - too busy lately, but my favorites were:

Billy Joel - puts on a heck of a show
Fleetwood Mac - back when Stevie had to be helped on and off stage by the roadies because she was a bit, er, out of it!
Cher - some friends really wanted to go and I went aloing, wasn't expecting to enjoy it as much as I did
Barenaked Ladies - lots of fun!

Wow!

What a great concert last night!

Billy and Elton put on one hell of a show. If you can catch this tour (Tampa is only it's second date) I highly recommend it.

They started with a few back and forth duets, then Elton played an entire set, then Billy played and entire set, then they closed with more back and forth of each other's songs. Last two songs were of course Candle in the Wind and Piano Man.

I always get chills when the entire arena crowd sings

"Play us a song you're the piano man
Sing us a song tonight
We're all in the mood for a melody
And you've got us feeling all right"

a capella back to Billy at the end of a concert. It's such an amazing moment every single time.

Great night!

And up tonight, we're seeing the Orlando Philharmonic/Mad Cow Theater concert presentation of "Sweeny Todd" with Faith Prince and Davis Gaines. :woohoo:

The only concerts I've been to were:

NKOTB

Typical lesbian here....

I have seen Indigo Girls more times than I can count.
I went to Lilith Fair and had a blast with Corey.
I have seen Terri Clark on multiple occasions.

Outside of keeping up my rep....:rotfl:

2. Erasure
3. Belinda Carlisle
4. Rick Springfield- Seeing him again in April
5. The B-52's- Seeing them again in May
6. Bette

My faves so far (in no particular order):

- Indigo Girls (never miss them if they are in the area)
- Amy Ray (solo tours)
- Little River Band (lost count of how many times - they are fantastic live)
- Dan Fogelberg (several times, but the best was the Greetings from the West tour)
- The Eagles
- Paul McCartney
- Dixie Chicks
- John Denver (again, more times than I could count)
- Billy/Elton (several years ago - would love to see this year's tour)

I also had a great time back in December at Amy Grant's 20th anniversary tour for the "Lead Me On" album. I went to the show with the guy that I was dating back in 1988, and we had a ball. (His wife and my DP were just happy that neither one of them had to join us!)

The woman I was obsessed with for over 2 years (we dated briefly last year and I realized she wasn't all that I thought she was after all....) was in turn obsessed with Brandi and thus turned me on to her. She was really amazing when we saw her last year. I'd like to see her again when she's in the area. And I have heard she is very sweet! I know she went out and signed autographs after her set when I saw her.

I'd forgotten about the Concert for Change! That was a great night, too!

So, I listed my favorite concerts, but my FIRST concerts were in the first and second grades at the Colorado State Fair. Glen Campbell in the first grade and Donnie and Marie and the Osmond Brothers in the second grade. :thumbsup2

I've seen Van Halen (5150 tour) along with Loverboy, Ronnie James Dio and Bachman Turner Overdrive. That was an eye opener. I was in High School and a bunch of us drove to Boulder, Colorado to see the concert. Imagine the surprise to the bunch of small town kids that we were as the people in front of us started smoking crack cocaine! Like I said. That concert was a real eye opener in a lot of ways. LOL

Other concerts I've seen: Sheena Easton, Starship, Whitney Houston (back before she was such a trainwreck). Gloria Estefan and the Miami Sound Machine, and Jim Brickman (amazing, and a really nice guy in person. I bought him a drink at the hotel bar after the concert.)

Two people I need to see, before time runs out, they retire, etc, are Dolly and Bette!

I need to get on this soon!

Dolly was just on Larry King advertising the opening of Dollywood!

Hmmmm.......
