Concerned about getting CRT ADR's

Can someone fill me in on how it works to get ADR's with this new 180 policy that is in place? Say I call to make my ADR's on my 180 days out, and I plan to make my CRT ADR for day 175. What are my chances of getting a reservation? And if I am not able to get that day when I call on my 180 day out day, will my chances improve when I call on day 179, etc. etc.? For some reason, I can't wrap my brain around how this new 180 day out system is any easier than the old way, which was getting up at the crack of dawn and hoping for a miracle? Much thanks!
