Last night I fell victim to an infamous computer virus email attack.
I opened a Hallmark E-card (what was I thinking
) and it totally locked up everything. By some small miracle DH managed to get back into the system in the 'safe mode' and do a system restore to a previous date. We were able to access everything again, ran CCleaner, NoAdware, and WinCleaner. Everything 'appears' to be normal...but is my computer really safe now? I am scared to log onto my bank account, etc. for fear the virus is still 'lurking' somewhere on my system.
Do I need to go purchase some kind of software to really clean my system?
Any help or thoughts would be appreciated.
