Computer question

Hi all! Haven't posted in awhile, hope everyone is doing well. I have a question and I figured the DIS would be the best place to ask - so many smart computer people here!

Today I got one of those annoying popups asking me if I wanted to install Gator. I got frustrated and in the midst of trying to close it I accidentally checked that box that says "Always accept content from Gator", and it all happened so fast that it was already closed before I realized what I did. How can I make sure that a whole bunch of Gator junk doesn't get installed on my computer every time I get one of those popups now? I do have SpyBot, which I run from time to time, but I wish there was a way to uncheck that little box.. I'm thinking that now that I've checked it, I won't even get the popups asking if I want to install, it will just keep putting this stuff on my computer.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Try either Certificates or Publishers. I'm leaning toward Publishers, but I'm not sure. See if they show up on the list there. If so, remove them and click OK.

Be sure to install and run Ad-Aware by Lavasoft or Spybot Search and Destroy. They will help clean things up. Good luck!
