computer question;printer and aol

Would using AOL 5.0 (instead of version 8.0) effect my printer?
My printer won't print anything from the internet. It will print fine from my scanner,no distortion. Do I need to upgrade?

I'm using 5.0 and it prints, just not in color!! And yes...we have the right ink cartridges in!!! One day I was printing out Mousekeeping envelopes in color and the next...black and white.
