Computer problem!

Does anyone know how I can set my pc to save pics as JPEGs? No matter what type of pic I try to save it will only let me save in ART or Bitmap format. This only seems to have happened in the last couple of days!

I think you can do it on paint if you just change the filetype. Haven't any clue why you can't do this unfortunately...

Use File / Save As and then change the file type you want to use.

I have had this problem before. I think the solution is to empty your temporary internet files folder. Microsoft KB article here

Tried both of the suggested fixes and still no joy!! I'm totally stumped!!

I think there was something else I had to do: (I haven't had this problem for a long time so this is a bit vague BEWARE!!)

1. In Internet Explorer click on the Tools menu and go to Internet Options.
2. On the General tab under the Internet Temporary Files section click on Settings.
3. Click on View Objects.
4. There was something like a Browser Helper Object or Class here that I had to delete.

Sorry the last bit is vague but if you post what you find in this section it might jog my memory.
