computer problem-pics not showing

why do i get the red "x" on some of my jpeg and gif files on some web pages?? i tried to download ie6.0 to correct this, but the same webpages will still give me the red "x"...when i go to properties, it says something about "HyperText Transfer Protocol" and "not available" in typing...what to do??

Could be that the webpage images you are looking at aren't linked properly. Make sure you have IE set to view images.

usually when that happens to me it i s because the security level is low. I go to tools, then hit security and make sure it is on the medium level. I am not sure if that is the problem on your computer but it might be worth a shot, hpe it works, good luck
