Computer Monitor for Christmas

I am looking for a decent priced on a good computer monitor for a gamer. All my son wants is a gaming computer. I have my eye on a couple computers waiting for maybe a Black Friday sale, but they do not come with a monitor. I am not looking at all of the sales because this is going to be a very small Christmas. The only reason I am considering the gaming computer is because his birthday is two weeks after Christmas so it will be a Christmas/Birthday present. He will be turning 13.

I was just thinking about asking for a monitor for Christmas (I do a lot of photography). If you search "monitor" on this page it comes up with quite a few. The last page of the dell ad has a 24 inch for only $99 but you have to order online at midnight. http://www.blackfriday.gottadeal.com/

Stay away from "Hanns" or "Hannspree" monitors no matter how good the deal. I would buy a refurbished monitor before I would buy a new "Hanns".
