For the last few days, when I hit my back button, it takes me back two pages instead of to the previous page. This is soooo frustrating when trying to read these boards. I read a thread and then hit back, and instead of going back to the forum I was on, it goes back to the page listing all of the forums. It is not just happening on the disboards, nor does it happen all the time. I've tried googling this problem but have been unable to find anything helpful.

Has anyone else ever had this problem or have any suggestions as to how to fix it?

If it matters, I am using IE and have windows xp media edition.

Thanks to anyone who can help.

It may be a problem with your mouse...when clicking around have there been any other double clicks besides your back button.

I have Media Edition and am having the same problem in IE. In fact, I've been having the problem ever since IE updated. I was thinking it was the mouse, so I replaced it, and it still does it.

It's really annoying, isn't it?

I know that when I play a Yahoo game (JT's Blocks), it has been doing the same thing. The other weird thing it does, is when I click on anything with a drop down menu, I have trouble with that. For example, if I click on "Favorites", the menu pops up and immediately goes away. I have to hold the mouse down as I click on it until it opens up, then I can let go of the mouse and scroll down to what I'm looking for.

1Prince2Princesses - Yes, it is highly annoying. Makes me want to stay off of the computer.

Have you tried doing a system restore?? And for the "silly" question my DS always asks when people she works with are having computer trouble..."have you tried just restarting the computer?"

I have tried restarting the computer and I think my dh has also. I have not tried doing a system restore. I've always been scared to do that. I don't know why, but it seems like I've heard of people having more trouble when they do a system restore.

System restore is really not a bad thing, and it is reversible if you don't like the result.
