Does anyone have a packing list you'd like to share? Or, does anyone know a source for a comprehensive list of suggestions on what to take on a trip to WDW?

We leave in 2 & 1/2 weeks. I have a list started ... one pile of items on the kitchen cabinet ... and a laundry basket full of clothes.

Although this is my 5th trip to WDW and my family's 3rd, I'm really stressing about forgetting stuff this time. Although the various guides I've been reading make suggestions throughout the books, there is no handy-dandy list.

THANKS!

And you know what they say about packing for Disney. . .put all your stuff in bags, then take half of it out and take twice as much money. Too true!! :rotfl2:

Just back from 8 days at WDW (sigh!). I agree - as long as your hotel has laundry facilities, take about half as many clothes as you had planned (and that's advice from a confirmed over-packer!). I brought way too much stuff. We had wildly varying weather while there (during Hurricane Wilma), anything from hot and humid weather (therefore, shorts) to cooler and rainy weather (jeans, rain jacket) and everywhere in between. In my effort to cover all possibilities, I brought some of everything, and didn't use half of it.

The Mousesavers packing list is good, but suggests waaaay too much stuff, IMO.

There are several threads on the "Disney Tips" board that give great advice about what to bring - scan the ones like "what are your top ten things to pack" or "what did you wish you had brought?".

I have several things that I couldn't do without: ponchos, moleskin, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, fanny pack, small backpack, cell phones, lightweight jacket, and Priority Seating confirmation #s.

I made a list in excel. 3 columns, item, purchased, packed. As I purchased things on the list, i marked it off in the purchased column. WHen I get them packed this weekend, I'll mark it off the packed.

I took everything on the lists here, condensed it down to things that interested me. Here's my list:

My list is organized a little differently. I inventory by bag, that way if we ever lose a bag I will know exactly what was in it. A friend taught me to do this, she actually used an excel spreadsheet although I just use a Word document. 5 pages!!

Mom's purse (usually a backpack)
Mom's carryon (tote bag or backpack)
DD11 carryon (one strap backpack)
DS14 carryon (backpack)
DH carryon
Mom's bag
Dad's bag
kids' shared bag
Resort bag

I have a small bag with meds, a small pre-packed bag that slips into my purse that is already packed for the parks, a small pre-packed ziplock that has all the laundry or cleaning supplies, etc. I also have a grocery list ready to go for when we get there.
