Complimentary Wheelchairs

Can a rental from ScooterBug be arranged pretty quickly? I'm not anticipating any more broken legs since my kids are basically grown now lol, but my own health situation can be completely unpredictable and could catch me off guard sometime, even though I did fairly well this last trip...

I always carry current, updated phone numbers/contact info for my top 3 rental vendors in Orlando, just in case my own personal device goes down, and I need an emergency rental. During their regular business hours, most of the outside vendors could probably get you a wheelchair (or other assistive equipment) in an hour, possibly less depending on circumstances. (for example - I might not expect *anything* to happen quickly any day in October 2021 during the 50th kickoff month + the new halloween party; I think it's just going to be crazy busy).

The first time I ever needed to use an ECV at WDW, I was "stuck" in the middle of EPCOT, and an outside vendor literally delivered to me, where I sat that day. Back then, I was just lurking here all the time, and had paid attention to who everyone was using, and had put their phone numbers in my phone so I had them in an emergency. I was *very* glad I did!

That's great advice! I could definitely see that happening to me at Epcot at some point so thanks for sharing that! Epcot requires so much walking! Of course, my next trip is for the 50th weekend so funny you would mention that nothing would happen quickly then, but I doubt we'll spend much time in the parks then because (as you said) the parks will be crazy! We're really just going then to see a bunch of friends who are going lol. I have definitely been lurking a lot over here in this forum and paying attention to the companies people use for mobility devices just in case. Some of the tips on sun protective clothing are probably what kept me from getting sick on my last trip!
