I am getting married in December 2012 and my fiance and I are trying to figure out what resort we would want to stay in for our complimentary wedding night and then for the honeymoon.

Our plans look like this...getting married Dec. 17th 2012 at sea breeze point arriving dec.14 or 15th most likely staying at the boardwalk inn or beach club. No here is where I am stuck...where should we stay for our wedding night for our complimentary room that we will get because of filling up the room block.

I want something romantic but not overly so. I am a huge fan of disney theme resorts. I want something pretty and sweet and feels good. I don't want anything over the top fancy but a little fanciness would be appropriate.

After the wedding night the next day we are gonna do a farewell breakfast type thing with family and then go to the parks with them :) so our honeymoon wont start officially until the night of the 18th/19th we are going to stay at disney for 10 days and we have talked about splitting and staying at two places. Like I said I love disney themes and I like fun at a hotel. since we will be there for christmas this is a bonus because of all the decorations. We will be spending christmas together just us 2 on our honeymoon.

So I am asking for any suggestions for these two stays..any thoughts?

You don't have to take your free night on your wedding night and I would actually recommend that you do not use it on your wedding night unless you are planning on having two rooms that night. Check out is 11 am and check in isn't until around 3/4 pm, so you could end up "homeless" during that time or you might be burdened with having to pack and move during your getting ready time.

We are taking our free night at the end of our trip and we'll be staying at the Poly. We are getting married at SBP and we'll be at the BoardWalk from our arrival (3 days before the wedding) and checking out two days after the wedding (I don't want to have to worry about moving resorts the morning after the wedding since we'll be tired). Then we're going to stay at Bay Lake Tower from Tuesday until Friday. Then we'll have our free night at the Poly Friday night and may extend our stay there by one night depending on AP rates. Animal Kingdom Lodge is a romantic resort with a great theme, but a little far from the MK and Epcot (compared to the BoardWalk/Beach Club and the monorail resorts). I think a Savannah view room would be great for a honeymoon though! The Poly is my dream resort and that's why we are staying there for our free night.

I don't think you can go wrong with any of the deluxe resorts really.

It depends what you want to use your free night for, to save money on one night, or to have a special night on your wedding day with no hassle.

We stayed at the Poly and AKL on our honeymoon and used the free night to stay at the GF on our wedding night so our room at the Poly went unused that night.

Like the previous poster said you have to check out about 4 or 5 hours before you can check in so its a lot of hassle to move for just one night.
