Complimentary Room

For the 2 weeks we're in Florida we are staying at the CBR but are having our complimentary wedding night at the Yacht and Beach Club Resort. Does anyone know what happens to our room at the CBR for the 1 night we're not there? Do we have to move everything out for the 1 night even if we have a room block near the rest of our family? Can it be arranged that we will get the same room back for the rest of our stay?

Unless you want to pay for your room at CBR that night, you would have to check out of that room and stash your stuff elsewhere (in a family members room perhaps) or bring it with you to Yacht Club. And you would have to check back in the next day. If you make both your pre wedding reservation and post wedding reservation through your room block, you should be able to get your post wedding room back in the same area, even if you don't get the same room again.

Don't know if this will be an option for you, or if you are even interested, but we asked (and were allowed) to downgrade our "free" night to 2 nights in a less expensive room. That way we didn't have to move after our wedding night. For CBR vs YC you might be able to negotiate even more then 2 nights - look at the cash value of one to the other and then propose it to your EM. Either that or go ahead and pay for the one night at CBR you won't be there, and then you can just go back to your other room.

Or if you'd like to experience a night in the deluxe (sometimes you even get upgraded) I'd keep the room at the CBR - your stuff will be safe enough - this would be what I would do as that way I wouldn't have to pack everything up and could just take what I need over to the YC - I know it means you would be paying for a room that you're not sleeping in that night but to me that's a small price to pay for the convenience of not packing and unpacking.

we were going to check out the day of the wedding and check in at the GF cause that was where we were staying for our wedding night. but, because of jeanne and a few mix ups, disney compted us a night at the beginning of our trip and decided to keep our room even though we were staying at the GF for our wedding night. it saved us a lot of trouble of moving things to a family room and moving around on disney transportation. that's what we did.

We are having our comp night on the last night of our stay. Our children will stay in the beach club room with grandma and we will have our second honeymoon in a GF honeymoon room. I thought it would be a great way to end our vacation.
