Complimentary mini golf?!

Okay, am I reading this right? It looks like with just choosing the base tickets, they're giving a free round of mini golf before 4pm as an extra perk. Has anyone been recently and used this? Was it pretty easy to do?

In my experience, we have had enough mini golf vouchers for everyone when we receive our magic bands. I think it is a perk of the park hopper but I might be mistaken.

We are not doing park hoppers, just base tickets. But if I'm reading this right, they're including it with any package deal? Just looking for clarification.

Yes, I think you are reading it right. The current packages include four vouchers for mini-golf in the list of Magical Extras.

It's part of the package Magical Extras. We've never actually gotten around to using the mini golf on multiple trips with packages.

It has been a standard "extra" with package bookings for years. It is not available to room-only bookings with tickets purchased separately.

Our experience as well. A lot of the 'extras' are for things we never used. You get a few % off of certain purchases but don't remember exactly for which places. Seem to recall they are listed on the Disney website. I think they make the free golf good for before 4pm since they know most people will probably be at a park and likely won't use it.

We don't have tickets for arrival and departure days, but we're driving so we do have some extra time both days. I figured it would be the perfect thing to do for a couple hours!

My kids love mini golf so we always use the vouchers! I believe Fantasia is currently taking reservations by phone right now. You can also do walk up, but there can sometimes be a wait.

I was leaning more towards Fantasia! We don't go until late October so I have a while before I need to reserve, but good to know I can do that ahead of time!

Fantasia is currently the only one open, but who knows by October.

Anyone know how we receive the vouchers? I know they used to mail them with the magic bands and luggage tags, but since they don’t mail out luggage tags now, I am wondering if they also don’t mail the vouchers in advance.

Same here. We’ve booked many packages thru WDW over the years (room & tickets together). They always came with the mini golf and free espn entry which we never used.

The only complimentary extra like these we tried was Disney Quest which was pretty cool back in the mid 2000s.

I also remember way back then getting a free dinner show or character meal. That one we always used. Saw the Spirit of Aloha for ‘free’ one year and picked a character breakfast another time.

We took the Skyliner to IG and then walked over. You can also take the Skyliner to DHS, then take the boat to Swan/Dolphin and walk rest of the way.

A number of reservations have the mini-golf vouchers or other little goodies thrown in so the reservation can be treated as a "package" as opposed to "room only." Then you have to pay for it in full sooner, and rules for cancellation are more strict.

Currently on hold again (was thinking I might have a better chance later in the day) right now after being on hold for a couple of hours this afternoon and having to hang up due to an incoming call. Did you end up being able to make your reservation?

ETA: I got through at about 11:40pm and was able to make my reservation.
