Complicated Question for New Member

My sister has decided to take the plunge and has put an offer in on a BCV resale. She is faxing the contract tomorrow. I am also currently a member and we (her and I and ohter family) have a upcoming vacation in Dec. for 2 nights using my points. This new contract for her (assuming she passes ROFR) will have x number of points that must be used before March and there are no other plans to make a trip down.

My question is once she gets her points could we use those x number for our Dec. trip without losing our current reservation? (I did have to waitlist to get it) and if we can use those points, can I then bank the points that I used? Or would it be better to try to rent them or give away to family??

(I have a June use year if that matters, and her's will be April)

You can't take someone else's points and use them on an existing reservation.

You could rent them, give them away, or add days to your December stay getting a new reservation using her points. You can also try and make a new reservation at any resort for the entire stay using her points and returning yours.

Could the sister's points "that must be used" be transferred to Sesame 123 and then request MS ro use the transferred points for the Dec reservation rather than the points that Sesame 123 has currently committed to the reservation??

they must be used b/c they were banked (or borrowed) before - and that means they cannot be transferred.

A rental is an option. OR see if she can get the same nights some where in the new contract then cancel the existing reservation. She may have to wait list but it's worth a shot.
