completed t-shirts - so pleased!

Hi,
I am new to the boards & I can't find out what type of printable transfers everyone is using. I can't pm anyone b/c I am new. Someone pls help!

Hi, I used Amy's transfers and found them really good.

Love the shirts! Where did the one with the buzz/star come from?
Did you have to reverse your photo to print on the paper? If so what photo software did you use? The one I use does not have a flip it has rotate clockwise/counter clockwise. Would one of these work?
Thanks for your help!

Hi, I used Amy's transfers and with them, you don't need to flip or reverse anything, you literally print on to the transfer paper as you would a normal piece of paper, and then peel it off and iron it on. So easy.

I wouldn't have a clue how to reverse the photo, sorry :confused3

The Buzz Star came from DoNatalie, her photobucket is a mine of amazing DISigns - it took me months to look through everything, lol! http://s143.photobucket.com/albums/r132/donatalie/Tshirt%20Designs/Character%20Stars/

The transfers I think a lot of people are using are

There are the ones I plan on using for all my shirts, because the results look amazing!!

Rachandgarry...where'd you get the stoplight graphic? I love it!!!

Hi, Yes I used Amy's too - they're brilliant. I wish I could remember where I got the stoplight one from, it was one of the main DISigners but I haven't got a clue which one now sorry. When I first started browsing the DISign section, I looked through everyone's photobuckets and just saved anything I liked, not thinking to note who's it was. Now I have hundreds of images from who knows where!? :rotfl2: I would love for it to be organised properly again, but there is just no way I could ever manage it.

your shirts look great! They are so much fun to make and wear!

I just posted pics of my finished projects and I can tell you it is addicting :)
I agree about Amy's transfers -so easy to use and turned out great...so great that I had to order more transfers to do more shirts! :)

Enjoy your trip!

Thanks! I think we're going to have to order more transfers too, for our next trip!

We're back from our trip, and Matthew wore a customised t-shirt every day but because the weather was so cold (-11.5 deg c) he had so many layers on top no-one ever noticed :rotfl2: At least I knew he was 'Disney'd' underneath though lol!

Thanks for the star info....now to find a designer that can work with that one since donatalie is not designing....I also order some of those transfer papers so I can see how they work with out rotating the the photo.
Thanks again!

Your shirts all looked great. As the mom of a 12 year with autism....no matter how many autism transfers you have...it won't stop people from staring. It might help explain the behavior though. Personally after 12 years, I barely notice the stares anymore nor do I care what people think. I'm just trying to get thru my day the best I can. :grouphug:

You're welcome! Good luck and have fun!

They look great! I LOVE the idea of adding the autism awareness symbol!!!!

Thank you! The autism-awareness thing isn't going to be for everyone, but because my DS looks so average, "butter wouldn't melt" and angelic almost, lol, it can come as a complete shock to people when he erupts in to panic. It was too cold for many people to see the logos on our recent trip, so our summer trip will be a better test! They did help in restaurants I think, when he didn't have his jacket on and people could see his back.

 I know what you mean, and sometimes getting through the day feels like it isn't going to be possible doesn't it. DS is at that stage where he looks angelic, like a little boy off of a Christmas card lol - he is also tall for his age. People expect so much of him, and constantly try to speak to him and pat his head affectionately. He doesn't mind it, but he almost never interacts with them, and their response is always the same; a look of "oh, what a precocious child." or "oh, he doesn't like me" - and then they are sad. I hate this, so I always try to justify his perceived rudeness with a speech about his autism etc - I guess I'm hoping that the symbol might help me with that!

Also, across restaurants is my biggest difficulty. He is really hard work in restaurants, and we try to arrange our dining to take account of that but it just isn't possible sometimes. Having a graphic sign to let people know that it isn't just that he's naughty and we're pushovers as parents, makes me at least feel that I'll have their support not their judgement. Whether that is true or not, my perception that it is, helps me stay strong lol.

But you're right, nothing will ever stop the stares and stuff. Really, it is their problem not ours, but (at our current stage) I'd still rather include people in our situation than shut them out. No idea how I will feel by the time DS is 12!
