Last night at this time, I was cursing the Mario paper piecing, the video game idea and the cricut in general. However, I stuck with it, put them together and when I looked at them in the morning light today....I really did like them. I'll probably keep the 1st one I did home since the hand and the hat aren't well done. It's not so bad that I wouldn't put it on my pages, but I don't want to send it to someone else knowing it's not as good as the others. I'm almost done with everything - the last things I need to do is add ribbon to a few things & pop in a few eyelets.
I have to say that I'm really happy with the things for this swap - I felt like I lost my mojo for the last one but it's back now. I've pushed myself beyond my usual things and my "comfort zone". That's really one of the best parts about swaps here - I do more for these pieces than I would normally do for a page, but then I still get to use my pieces plus all of the great things I receive back.

So far no ash or anything- in fact the weather is lovely (at LAST!) but yes, no flights so I'm going to surface mail stuff if it doesn't clear up soon- I think I've just about got time for the ATC if I crack on.

Yes, that's what I was wondering - if you had any ash in your area. I had read about the ash cover extending pretty far & shutting down so many flights. Hope it doesn't hold up things too long!

There's been a few test flights go up so they may start to move a few things around - at the moment I can't see why planes couldn't go into Cardiff, but then I'm not the expert They could be at the airport over here already, in which case I'll get them tomorrow or Wednesday probably. But otherwise - who knows

Only three warships - 2 to France and 1 to Spain, and is mostly to pick up our troops, but they will pick up some civilians as well. there's been amazing stories of poeple getting back by buying cars, hiring coaches etc. When the ferries ran out of foot passenger tickets they would only sell cyclist tickets to people with a bike, who then had to ride it on board - try doing that on a kids bike with 2 suitcases! If it were me I think I'd be looking for a car with only a driver and asking if I could pretend to be their passenger - cars are booked per vehicle not passenger I believe.

I'm going to go ahead and mail tomorrow. Gonna need a little more time to finish T & T-still working on a couple of groups, and I don't want to rush it. I'm pretty sure I can fit my 3 groups into an envelope so the shipping won't be that much anyway.

Performance: I made a topper, photo mat and journal box. The bits on the right side are just some extra paper and 2 of the tickets. I had extra so I'm sending those along as well.

Due date is fast approaching. These are supposed to be mailed on Friday.

How is everyone doing?

Do I need to give a little extra time? I noticed that a lot of the swaps are due right around the same time. My bad for not catching it sooner. If you need the time to get other swaps that had a soon sign up date done first, I completely understand. I'm sure Susan and Mazda will forgive me if I extend the due date. I promise to make it up to them.
