I have been pricing up for Sept/Oct 2011, and with the help of all you guys CO are coming up way cheaper than Virgin/Disney UK.

However I have concerns that they are only ATOL and not ABTA, that they dont seem to be able to book your room untl 11 months out and that they appear to be offering something that a company directly associated with Disney are not.

How happy/secure are those that have already booked with them that they are a safe bet..... I know in this current climate no-one is 100% safe but i'm not sure if i'd be happier to wait a bit (and I HATE waiting:lmao:) and book direct with Disney when/if - and that is the question- their 42% offer comes out.
( I think VIRGIN are just too expensive, although i'd feel quite secure in booking with them.)

Thanks X

abta is for travel agents as as they are not a travel agent thats why they are only atol protected

i have spokent with atol and they are a legit company so dont worry too much

I have booked accommodation only with them for next October at a far better price than Disney UK and VH could offer.

I realise without the flights added, and therefore having a package, I am not ATOL protected. I have two options I can ask them to get flights for me when they are released and will then have a package and the protection that ATOL offers or I can book the flights myself. My dates are flexible a couple of days either side of the dates I have booked and flying indirect doesn't bother me.

I will go with whatever is the cheapest option for me. I have paid my deposit on my Credit Card at no extra fee unlike other companies charge and will pay the balance in full on my card too, if I don't upgrade my holiday to a package then I can consider taking out supplier failure insurance which I gather you can get fairly cheaply.

As I posted on the Dibb I really feel that without companies like Complete Orlando bringing healthy competition to the market that the big boys will start to have a monopoly and it will only be us the customer that suffers. I have done numerous searches both on here and on the dibb for people who had used Complete Orlando in the past and only found positive reports.

I found their service so far to be excellent and have no complaints, as you said no company is 100% safe.

I spoke to CO on Fri to book at SSR for Oct 2011. They assured me that my room is now reserved at SSR and it's just a case of them obtaining my res no 11 months out. However, they did say Disney are changing the way they deal with travel agents and that I may indeed receive my res no within the next few weeks if Disney will release it to them. TBH I don't think it's a big deal if I don't get it until 11 months out.

The agent I spoke with was very helpful and I am happy to have a go with them for the price they are offering.

No-one can second guess when/ if Disney will release the discount on SSR/OKW but after speaking with Disney on Friday, no-one was aware of an offer being released soon.

Hope you get what you want :thumbsup2

I was thinking about booking with Complete Orlando but was uneasy about booking with them for the same reasons. Why can't they give you a firm booking now? They're taking your deposit without evening confirming that your booking is valid until 11 months out! :scared1:
It's probably me being over sensitive to these things but there is no way I'm going to book with a company that can't give me a definate booking when I pay my deposit.
I just booked with VH and with 15% FVC discount they came out cheaper by a small margin and I have a lot more confidence in VH than CO to fulfill my booking.

I hope I'm totally wrong about CO, but for me, I'd rather play it safe.

Nick

Thanks for all your replies:thumbsup2

If we paid the deposit on (DH!) CC then it would be months before the balance is due:thumbsup2.

I know £150 is quite a reasonable amount to lose if we then changed to a direct booking with DH, but if the company goew bust we'd at least be covered.

Off to do some serious work on DH!!

They told me yesterday that Disney are already starting to send out the SSR reservation numbers, so it may not be a worry. They also said if i would prefer they could book me at a different resort, then move my booking to SSR at 11 months (though that would mean a £25 amendment fee).

I have the same worries as everyone else, but am really tempted to book with them. I got a quote from Virgin yesterday for the same period, and it was £1000 more! I'm thinking its worth the risk - I will book my flights separately so they will be OK whatever happens, so if the worst did happen I would be able to find a hotel room over there somewhere and still go. Am going to do what someone else said and pay by credit card for extra reassurance, and will be taking out annual trip insurance as well to cover it already.

Yesterday I booked SSR for August with Complete Orlando. As you've all found out VH and Disney are too expensive or dont yet have this deal on offer. I had a few concerns as flights not organised, etc but the price was excellent and met my budget - so paid the deposit via credit card.
They were very professional, friendly and I was impressed.
I was also told that as SSR is a DVC complex Disney cant release the reservation number until 11 months prior, and they are still working out which rooms, etc will be available. I am not over concerned and awaiting confirmation booking via email after the easter weekend.

I'm starting to think the more of us book with them, the safer they will be as a company!!!!:thumbsup2

arrghh I am just sooooo tempted! just priced up OKW for aug 2011 and it was much cheaper, but I haven't done it without flights before, so I'm a bit nervous. Anyone any rough idea of how much flights in August cost?

A bit of a lottery but I paid £700 indirect this year for August. I would book the package and get the ATOL protection - had to use it this year when globespan went and it was a big relief and easy to claim through.

only problem with CO is that the flights from Manchester were coming up really expensive, well over 2grand for 2 adults and 1 child. Flying from gatwick weren't too bad, but it would be a real hassle trying to get down to london :(
Guess I'll just wait a bit longer before booking

I paid just over 2K for 23 nights this August and that was booked around christmas 09.
2Ad + 1Ch - Virgin Manchester to Orlando Int - cattle class :scared1:
I also went via QuidCo
I think that for direct flights, thats the sort of figures we will be looking at from now on, travelling at peak times :headache:

Yep, me too £718 each but in direct were £690.

We paid £1488 last august for all of us (2a 2c and an infant) This was through expedia with Virgin, got quidco too! Just need to keep your eyes peeled and be very sad like myself and check nearly every day :goodvibes

By definition, I'd say they're a travel agent, so the fact that they don't have ABTA bonding would bother me. In any event, Tour Operators can also apply to be ABTA bonded, so why wouldn't they? They're part of Attraction Tickets Direct, if that provides any comfort to anyone considering booking with them.

Thanks for the replies, sorry if I do this wrong but Im new to forums!

Had a quote for POFQ 12 October for 15 nights CO quoted £2802 for hotel, tickets and car. I have been quoted about £2300 for flights elsewhere but CO cannot give prices yet.

Going on the quotes thats about £5100. Virgin have a discount online which comes out at £5015 (£5475 full brochure price) for the same holiday and it can be booked now, so we will probably go with them again as we want to fly to Orlando International.
