Complete Guide to WDW

I saw this book at Staples a few weeks ago, I wish I had bought it. I'm going to look on ebay now!

What is the best book for first timers? I have the Unofficial Guide which has tons of good information in there, but I could always use another disney book!:goodvibes

Sounds like everyone loves this book! How is it different than all the other "guide books" out there?

Tons of great info
FULL of color photos (provided by Disney, plus the authors)
Gives you the story BEHIND every area and attraction

What I like about it most is that, along with a ton of info, it truly conveys a great sense of fun! It really gets you hyped to go (like the Official Guide), gives you a LOT of info (like the UNofficial Guide) plus has all those gorgeous color photos (like nothing else).

Highy recommended!

IMO, you have the best book. The UG is the most informative and comprehensive. :)

This "complete" book really isn't a guide book...but it is really interesting! Lots of info, trivia kind of stuff, about the rides. And a nice section on Christmas. I haven't read the whole thing, but I like it.

Another good book to pump you up is Disney's Official Guide - the Birnbaum book. Lots of cute pics and such. :)

I bought this at my local Barnes and Noble and it is excellent..Lots of pics and facts about Disney. I think this book is my favorite Disney guide(and I pretty much have them all).

I ordered Fodors thinking I was gettint the one Kevin reviewed. Headed to Border's now to correct my error!

Got mine two days ago and it looks great. Lots of pics and from the sections I have thumbed through it seems they have some great tips that I haven't seen before. (I have a shelf full of just about every WDW book out there and this one ranks very high)

Thanks for the great tip Kevin!

Personally I still think the Unofficial guide is the best resource for planning your trip. I think this Complete WDW book complements the Unofficial guide because it has lots of great color pics.

Good Luck!

I dont think this is the book for beginners.

I think this is more of a "user's manual" or handbook.

I was astounded by the wealth of information...and the really cool, "geeky" :rotfl2: stuff that you dont get anywhere else, but just thrills me.

I have learned some awesome information from this book and I love knowing the derails that not everyone else knows. Only now they can.

As a matter of fact...I was loaned a copy of this book to review and asked if I could keep it....and WDW is 15 minutes away.

Gotta tell you...:rotfl:...this is a good one.

wow- 3 days ago it was discounted at amazon- I ordered it for 16 and some change- tonight it's selling for full price. :confused3

So happy to see enthusiastic reviews for it. Unfortunately once it arrives I have to read it in secret because DD doesn't know about the trip yet.

I think it's the power of the DIS.

I think it's the power of the DIS.

I wondered if that was the case. Overstock.com has it discounted. They're slower on shipping though because their books go out via media mail. I don't remember if they give you alternative shipping options though.
