COMPLETE ~ General Disney Newbie Swap!

Question...if we don't get any more sign-ups for this swap, could we each just make 5 of each of our selections and EVERYONE exchange...since there's only a total of 5 swappers in the whole thing? I would even be willing to do it with a few more added. Also, 3 of the 5 have signed up for 2 spots...I would select another spot and maybe the other single selection swapper could, too?? Just a thought!!

I am confused with Frontierland in Group C. Shouldn't that be in group A for Magic Kingdom and not Hollywood Studios?

Yeah...I had asked about maybe not having both of my items in the same group because I would be getting back almost all of my own stuff. LOL That was kinda done because I was being a pain in the you know what!!!! If it doesn't work for you, maybe I could switch back??

I am all for that!! If the hostess would approve since it is so small and everyone else was on board, I think that's a great idea...it only requires a little more work. And, we each only have one or two groups, so not too bad. So, I guess it is a question to be presented to the hostess!!

Oh I don't mind at all. I just didn't read the entire post at first, so I thought it was an error. If we all exchanged it would be even better as we would get a lot more. One you are making multiple it really isn't that bad to just make a few more. We will have to wait and see!

I am keeping the groups small due to the fact that this is a newbie swap. I do understand that some of you may have swapped outside of the DIS before, but in order to keep all groups manageable for the newest swappers, these groups were capped at 4 people. While I am not a new swapper on the boards, I am a new hostess so I also need to keep these groups small so that I can manage them myself.

Not a problem at all. I am not completely new to dis swapping, but I haven't done it for two years. This will be a good way for me to ease back into it. Although I have my eyes on the AK swap coming up!!! I went shopping today and picked up everything for my Africa spot, but couldn't get quite what I wanted for BatB. I will have to hit Michaels to see if I can find something. My hopes is to have this done by the end of the next weekend!!! I am going to be starting in about 1/2 hour!!

I just wanted to make sure that we were not suppose to post pictures of our finished progress. I know other swaps have you do this. I have finished one set for my Africa group and should have the others finished tonight!! It is so addicting once you get into it! I still need to figure out the rest of my BatB swap though. I may do some searching this evening to see what kind of paper piercing I might be able to do.

Looks great! I just realized that I hadn't posted what I was going to do! So sorry about that...I've been having some internet connection issues, but they're resolved now. For DHS, I was thinking Toy Story and for Epcot, how about something like a basic World Showcase. I'm so jealous that everybody has gotten started - I've been cramming for tests at school (almost done!)

I have my Africa group completed and will be finished with BatB tomorrow, so will hopefully be mailing Monday! I might even stay up late tonight and finish tonight. I would have been done already, but we traveled a little bit today to go look at a puppy. Came home without one though, so we might have to travel a few more hours tomorrow to go look at another puppy!!!!

Yes, you make three of everything for your set. You will send me all three sets and I will send you back one of your sets plus one from each of the other people.

You can start working on your pieces now. All groups are started now. Some people are working faster than others so they are letting us know there status.

These are due to me by June 4. You are not responsible for providing pictures to anyone. You create the pieces that people will use on their own scrapbook pages. It is a similar idea as to buy pieces from a scrapbook store that you can put on your own pages. When I get home I will post some pictures of items that I have made in the past so you can get an idea of what we are looking for.
