COMPLETE - Disney Surprise Swap Progress

Question for the people in my groups:

3, Aa, B, C

Do any of you need to scrap pics from 2005, 2007 or 2008? I'm scraplifting an ingenious design and it may be dated for those years. as well as using my stash. I have a back up plan if no one needs those years. TIA!! :goodvibes

I'm in 3, and can use 2007 or 2008. Thanks for asking!

Okay, I've got you beat. My wedding was in 1992. Kids were born in 1993 and 1997. Not scrapped....any of it.
Granted, I only started scrapbooking about 2004 or 2005, but still. I think I have yet to complete a whole book, unless you count the 3 circle journals I did. But then again, I didn't do the majority of those pages! :rotfl:
I'm addicted to swapping though. I have boxes and boxes of swap items that I WILL use one day when I'm not too busy MAKING swap items. It's all so much fun. Sometimes I go through those swap elements from the past and marvel at all the talent from this group! (I only swap on DISboards ;) )

Haha well I've been scrapping since 2000 since DD#1 was born but havent gotten very far either.

I love the swapping too thats why i havent done much lately. having too much fun with it. but i really need to buckle down and make some progress. I have "finished" a few albums mostly ran of room. and completed 2 vacatioins one being the honeymoon is DW and the other being a trip to upper michigan 2 years ago that i needed to do so i can put the extra pics in the girls books. as well as give the kids something new to look at. they will usually leave me alone if i actually produce pages for them to look at. :rotfl:

Thanks for the info everyone. I hope everyone likes what I'm going to do. :upsidedow

I mailed mine off today. Risky I know with this time of season, but I figured the rush is over and I was at the post office anyway. They will probably get there around Saturday. I got a DC if they dont show up.

 They are here and I'm soo sorry guys, you aren't getting any of them.

:rotfl2:

They are all great.

Now I need to know how you all want me to display them. After they are mailed back, of course. Because everyone is able to make different items within a single group, I will have many more items to photograph. Some which not everyone will be getting.

I can photograph the whole group as is or I can photograph each item alone but only put who made them, not for what group. Majority wins.

Glad you like them. I was a little unsure with the "general" group if it meet the "general" theme after I completed them.

For the photos... I would not take a picture of each item. That would take a lot of time. I would just group them. Maybe for example take my groups and take a picture of each group and when you post, dont but who made them or what group they are for... that way it will still stay a surprise.

Either way on the photos works for me! Whatever is easier for you!!

I'm checking in for the 1/2 check-in. I know what I'm doing, but I have to have DH put my fonts on the new computer so I can make them!!

I agree with this way. I love the element of surprise in a surprise swap. :rotfl:

NM beat me! Hoping to be postal by Monday. Finishing last group tonight.
Everything else is even bagged and bagged again.
I like the element of surprise too, but whatever is easiest for you.

Postal!:cool1:
I used UPS and I hope this doesnt cause you any problems! Please see message on Whimsy swap as Im too tired to type the whole story again!

BTW, Thank you for all your help with the CJ! I appreciate it very much and hope you know that I will have another million qs for you!

I'm such a know-it-all. :rotfl2: 'Course a lot of what I think I know, I know wrong.:rotfl2:

UPS is fine for me. They arrive after work hours at my house. There will be someone here. :)

I've started one of my groups and have ideas for the others!!!!

As for the photos, whatever you want to do is fine with me. I do like NM's idea, though.

I double checked and I have everything done and ready for USPS. I have a trade in there too.

I am working on these today. I have to work the next three nights and then have a little stretch off so I hope to get these out to you by then.
Cindy

I just really wanted you all to see the quality of work you will be getting back.
These are the photo mats.

The first one has FOUR layers of paper, metal photo corners, paper ribbon, primas and brads.
The second one has THREE layers of paper, paper ribbon, two layers of primas and brad.

I don't think I've ever made mats this nice. Thank you for raising my bar. :thumbsup2

Wow, those are beautiful! They really step things up a few notches! Rethinking my plan now...

WOW! Beautiful. What would the dimensions be on those?
Its too late to rethink what Im doing but something to work towards next time!

The first one the largest mat is 5-1/8 x 7-1/4, the smallest is 4-1/4 x 6-1/4 with various unequal increments with the other two. I never would have thought to do that. It looks so cool up close.

The second one the largest mat is 5-3/8 x 7-1/4 with the smallest again 4-1/4 x 6-1/4.

Good thing I didn't start yet.

Love the photo mats!!

AWM, do you mind if i lable the bags with names for specific people? will that cause any issues?

Doodlebug and I will get started this week. We are finally home. the snow is still here but we made it. Now for the rest of it to melt!!
