Where would I be able to send a complaint to Disney and how long (on average) do they take to respond?? If they respond at all.

Go to the Disney World web page.

Go down to the bottom of the page.

On the right hand side, you will see "Contact us."

Click on that and it will take you to a screen where you can send an e-mail.

I had several compliments a few years ago; much pixie dust on my trip.

I received an e-mail the same day that my e-mail had been received. I received an e-mail a few days later saying my e-mail had been forwarded to the resort. About a week and a half later, the manager of the resort called me directly, thanked me for my e-mail and said he had forwarded it onto the HR department to place in both of the CM's files.

I am not sure about what your complaint is, and I am sure it is legitimate, but most likely it would have been best done while you were at the resort/park, etc.

I have only had one complaint over the many years I have travelled to Disney. We stayed at POP last June and stayed in the 50's section. We had to walk right past the smoking area each time we left the food court. And believe me....it was usually filled with alot of smokers in which we had to walk thru the smokey area(the nasty smelling smoke doesn't stay in the designated smoke area) to get to our building. The smoking area is right outside the gift shop and food court....near the main pool and obviously in an area frequented by all the guests. I emailed Disney about my concerns and received a phone call from them. They stated that they would check into the issue. Seems dumb to put a smoking area so close to everything. I don't know if they really checked into the matter...or if they moved the smoking area.

When we were last there in Jan 2012 they had moved the smoking section from by the door down to the bar area near the pool. The squeaky wheel does get the grease.

You know, it is funny you mentioned that.

My best friend and her daughter show horses all summer; they are both smokers and are in a hotel every weekend. Since very few hotels anymore have designated smoking rooms, they have designated smoking areas. She also commented (we are both architects) how strange it is that the hotels always manage to put them where the majority of the people entering the hotel have to walk through.:sad2:

Very good point!

I imagine the severity of the issue might have something to do with how quickly it was responded to? Just a guess.

If it is something that occurred while you were there, it is always best to deal with it while you are there. If it is something that happened via mail, phone or e-mail, us the Contact Us advised above.

I noticed the same at the Poly last year, that the smoking sections were in the main foot traffic thoroughfares.

I would think it would be so they would see there is spot to smoke instead of smoking in the rooms - if they put it where it is pain to get to then the smokers would smoke whereever instead of there

Maybe there were other complaints also. I really didn't complain in my email...just sorta made a suggestion that it shouldn't be where children and other non-smokers had to pass by frequently. Happy that Disney may be listening to us though.

I suggest that you write a letter to:

Walt Disney World Guest Relations
P.O. Box 10000
Lake Buena Vista, FL 328309

They responded to my letter in about two weeks.
