Competition Crowds

We are planning a trip to Disney next year. We would like to go in Feb or March. I looked on the calendar of events on the ESPNWOS at Disney website and noticed that there is a competition (dance, cheer, soccer, etc) every weekend in Feb and March. I have heard that the hotels and parks are really crowded during that time. Any suggestions? (No offense to any competition people, I already did that with my daughter and dance and I know it can be pretty crowded).

We've gone for cheerleading competitions in the past, and I've found that the parks crowds were fairly low (especially when comparing the crowd levels to WDW in the summer time) and the weather was wonderful. Personally, I'd go again during a competition time in a heart beat, but (after our last May trip) we'll avoid May-July at all costs.
