The idea of splurging on club level really intrigues me, but would certainly be less expensive at WL or AKL. Do the different lounges offer the same basic services/amenities. Is one better than another? Is the same amt of food and refreshments offered at each? Would you rather stay at Poly or YC non-club or WL/AKL club?
Thanks for any input.

I would like to know too, we got a rate of $224 including tax for AK club level with savanah view for my b-day trip in Oct....cannot wait! I always wanted to do a club level but the prices have always been out of my reach, thank goodness for the 40% off discount card

Not personally sure as my upcoming trip will be club at AKL
What intriqued me to AKL Club was the ability to sign up for the sunrise safari - Do the other resort clubs have special tours like that for their club level residents?

We have stayed Club level at AKL and the Poly. We loved both. The food offerings are the same with the exception that they are geared towards the resorts theme. Hawaiian bread at the poly, ect. The staff was excellent at both places. Don at AKL has always gotten us the hard to get ressies. CRT 2 days!!! The Poly has done the same. Both at only 2 weeks out from the trip. They won't garuntee the ADR but they have always come through for us. That in and of itself makes staying club nice. They will make all your ADR's if you call or email them. The sooner the better of course. We enjoy club level and enjoy the food items as well. But it isn't for everyone some will feel that it is a waste. We are going next month and trying out the CR club. My vote is for AKL club level.

I have stayed at every club level
they are all different
different food at each one
different set ups
staffs are better at some
some of the lounges are huge and some are tiny
I think there are things i like and dislike at each one

I can't compare as we have only stayed at the Boardwalk Club Level. We love it so much we just can't tear ourselves away. I will however say we love the atmosphere and the staff is wonderful!:) Plus, the Boardwalk view room can't be beat!:cloud9: It is our home away from home and we can't wait to get back there in May!:woohoo:

I've stayed at everyone except 12th floor at the CR. There is a big difference between them.

The amount of food is almost the same at all of them, the quality varies. IMHO the best food is found at the GF and AKL.

RPC offerings definitely have more variety and things like cold cuts at lunch and Champagne in the evening.

I think the AKL has the best staff by a long shot.

When we stayed 14th floor CR the food was still brought up from the CG, now I hear it's from the Concourse Steakhouse, so I imagine a significant decline.

Because there are only 20 or so rooms and suites on the 14th floor of the CR, the service is very personalized.

AP had yummy food, but the staff is behind a counter smooshed in by the elevators, not a relaxing or inviting situation.

Don't like that the YC & BC actually close the lounge during the day, one thing I like about some of the others is that you are welcome to sit in the lounge to read or watch TV.

The AKL offers some special perks that none of the others do, like the Sunrise Safari.

The BWI had a "B&B" feel to it.

Let me know if you want more info.

Love the GF Royal Palm club offerings. Spacious and plentiful. Poly concierge seems less elegant but more personal service. Better selection at GF. Easier to bring stuff back to room at GF (wine and cheese/dessert) at night when kids are asleep.
Just my thoughts:)

I've stayed at the GF, YC, BC & Polynesian concierge.
The Poly is may favorite with their huge lounge that is open all the time.
The YC & BC were small and as someone noted is closed at certain times.

I didn't like GF because they weren't as friendly and helpful as the Poly staff.

When I stayed at the YC this dec the lounge was always open even the inbetween times. Same thing for the beach club last dec.

I've heard some of the lounges lock up after 10pm. The Polynesian lounge is open 24/7 with sodas and fresh fruit available.

And I do love those Luau Ribs at the Poly lounge!

And they don't open till about 6:30-7:00. They do have some coffee outside but no place to sit.
I get up at 6:00 and the Poly is perfect. I can sit watch the news and drink my coffee. :goodvibes
I even offer to help the staff set-up breakfast. :rotfl:

Have stayed club level at AKL, WL and GF RPC. GF RPC has the nicest lounge, but AKL is a close second (at least when it used to overlook the lobby -- I'm not sure where it is now). Our GF RPC stay was very recent. Breakfast was good, snacks okay, desserts good, evening appetizers were quite unimpressive I thought, especially given the price. What was missing? Shrimp in the evening, berries in the a.m. to name but two little luxury items that ought to be served when one is paying $700 per night for a room. I suspect that making sugar loaf club level and insisting on serving exactly the same items at both places is responsible for the less than stellar food. I think the food is geared to what sugar loaf patrons are paying (rather than what RPC patrons are paying). The price differential apparently is attributable solely to the location. Too bad, actually.

We loved AKL club level -- but our stay was 5 years ago. At that time, there were delicious and luxury level appetizers each evening -- yummy shrimp, good (not green like at GF) beef on skewers, hot soups, etc. We loved it. Given the overall decline in dining quality at WDW, however, this may have declined as well. Let us know what you find.

Enjoy!

We have stayed club level at the BWI and the Beach Club. I would have to say that the Beach Club lounge seems smaller than the BWI but has more seating. We found that the staff at the bWI was much friendlier and got to know their guests and made us feel like family.:lovestruc We are looking forward to our trip this coming May to the BWI after just coming home from their this past Monday.:thumbsup2

Wilderness Lodge club level is nice. The food offerings were always great and plentiful. It's pretty informal, cozy...we loved it. We never used the concierge though. I'm a bit of a control freak and need to make my own reservations!!!

I will say though, that the price of most of the club levels is not really worth it...in my opinon...unless you spend more time at the resort than you do at the parks...and even then I'm not convinced. I can't speak for all the resorts, but most of them don't have bigger club level rooms or amenities aside from the snack and beverage offerings. Then again, some people really enjoy the personal services that come along with the club level. It really makes the vacation for some people. As park commandos, my husband and I just aren't at the resort enough to make sense of the higher prices.

That being said, my husband and I really enjoyed having the food offerings in the mornings. It was great for a light breakfast and it was nice for those snackity snack cravings one tends to get in the evenings!!!:thumbsup2
