Speaking of which, does Disney ever do cruises that overnight at CC?
As the pp mentioned, even with double dip, they cruise out and back in. I don't think CC would be capable of sustaining an overnight visit.

We were at Aulani earlier this month and I think construction prep might have already started. I sure hope it doesn't change the Aulani atmosphere too much as we love it there.
I remember when Marriott only had one timeshare building in Ko Olina. No Aulani. The area has grown so much over the years.
The music they play at Aulani is fantastic as all the classic Disney songs have been re-done in a Hawaiian theme/tone. I think they talked about it on the podcast that they don't sell the music in any of the gift shops.Different music is played, but swimming is fine in both places.

I totally underestimated your rabid Hawaiian freak status! So much input. I love it! Thank You for that link because it's basically the soundtrack of Aulani. BUT am I right that those classic Disney songs that typically play in the elevators are not available for purchase? I'm pretty sure Kevin mentioned that there is no way to get them.Keaei'i Reichel wrote the theme music for Aulani and was there for the Hawaiian blessing of the resort's opening. He is a fabulous Hawaiian musician kumu hula (hula teacher, and native of Maui. There are a couple of Aulani CD's available. Either Kalepa Store or Hale Manu should have them. I believe Keali'i also oversaw the hula choreography for the former Starlit Hui at Aulani. I don't know if he had a lot of input for the current luau that replaced the non-luau Starlit Hui.
I have also bought Aulani CD's online! Here's one of them available on Apple:

Okay, hmmmmm. The album shown in my link above, "Music of the Maka'Ala shows only 5 songs whereas the CD I downloaded a good while back has like 10......
Here's a link to, "Mele (means song) from Auntie's Beach House Aulani", which can be heard if you have Apple Music. I'll bet your elevator music is on this!

or see this article from a year ago on the Disney Parks blog:

but I'm still old school when it comes to physical media so I prefer to have the disk.

Sorry for any confusion...Maunaleo isn't part of the Aulani CD. It's the first Keaei'i Reichel song I heard back in 2005 and from then on I was hooked. Highly recommend it!
