hi all

was trying to find the cheapest way to get to orlando from seattle (we are in vancouver canada but fly from seattle) and was looking at the alaska air deal where you apply for their credit card and you get a free companion fare 1 time per year.

anyone do this?

I got that Alaska Airlines platinum plus mastercard info in the mail today. Looking at it, it says the yearly fee is CDN$75 and you get 3 miles per qualifying dollar at AlaskaAir/Horizon Air; one US$50 companion when you're approved for the card and each year afterwards (not free on my paperwork); and two board room passes

I've been trying to decide if that's really a good deal for us - we also fly from SeaTac (we're in South Surrey) and there are 4 of us flying (2 x adults, 1 x 10yo and 1 x 7yo) to MCO in September. We have enough Visa points for one of our flights, so that leaves three flights to find. So far, Alaska isn't offering a red-eye flight to MCO like they had last year - that's our preferred flight, so we're bummed about that.

I dunno what to do either :rotfl2:
