Companies who consolidate shipping?

I really want to get some gorgeous stuff off the Disney store but with no trip in sight I refuse to pay $86 for two items I want or $66 for either one individually. So I'm starting to research & look into shiptoit or hopshopgo and was wondering who has used them before and their thoughts?

Price wise they seem fairly similar though in a quick google on my phone there was a blog post complaining about hopshopgo not consolidating their packages?

So any help would be appreciated because come on $56 for 9 pounds (the weight of my last Disney package I sent to our hotel) of shopping is fantastic! Compared to who knows what it'd be to Aus.

We used HopShopGo before. They wouldn't consolidate our packages either, and therefore didn't really end up cheaper. I thought they were a little slow too.

There is someone else I have bookmarked, I believe she is an ex-pat but the bookmark is on another computer. I'll try and find it and let you know

I use shiptoit and have no complaints, they consolidate and it has always arrived quickly and without problems

MyUS is apparently now consolidating at their lowest free level but I haven't used them for a while and I think they were pretty expensive for postage.

I have used MyUS and whilst they are very good, their postage is quite high. But they always consolidated packages and discarded things like shoe boxes if you wanted.
Haven't tried anyone else yet - trying to not buy at the moment!! :badpc:

Thanks for the help :goodvibes

I've signed up to shiptoit for 12 months for $50. After looking into a few others they seem like the best deal. Pretty decent shipping costs (I kept using 9lbs as my example), they take photos of your items for a small fee and repack multiple packages into one box.

Plus I figure I can share it with my girlfriends and family provided everything is shipped in my name.

So naturally I've done one Disney order to make use of the $15 off orders over $100 so kept it small with 4 things I've been eyeing.

Hoping a 25% off sale comes around soon though because those shoe ornaments were very hard to leave out of my order!

15% off disney sale?????? Info?????

15% off disney sale?????? Info?????

Sadly only $15 off not 15%. Plus free shipping if the order is over $100 AFTER the $15 is taken off. It won't let you use the free shipping over &75. I was just googling Disney store coupons, hoping to find out when the next 25% sale might be and found it.

The code is DMRJUN from memory. It lasts till 11.59PT 30/6. Limit of one use. Worth a look at least :)

The Disney Store is currently having a "Twice a year" clearance sale at "60% off" - which I suspect is only on certain items. But it may be on items on you want! :goodvibes
http://www.disneystore.com/twice-upon-a-year-sale/mn/1001152

I used the code and got another 10-15% off the sale prices.....awesome....so things like kids sunnies were $2.99..i got them $2.71....spent $156 and saved shipping and an extra $27 on top of that.....ladies tshirts for $9.09.....makes up for the aud drop:cheer2:

now fingers crossed they make it to boardwalk in one piece:hourglass

Hi,
I just used MyUS to ship two smallish bags the weight was 2.7pound and it cost just over $70 Aus to ship. I though that was expensive, they did combine the two into one package.

Off to have a look at shipito

Just thought I'd post about using Shipito in case anyone else was thinking of getting a membership.

I've been very impressed with them so far. They take photos of each package at it arrives for $1 and charge a $2 hold fee per parcel they receive. Pretty reasonable.

I had four parcels consolidated (Forever21, Disney, eBay and Amazon) into my first package, including all costs (photos, holding cost, shipping, consolidation fee and insurance) it was $102.50 to get sent to Aus and I think it weighed 11 pounds?

The four packages individually sent from the companies would have cost me $180 odd so after one package I've already broken even (and saved $) to cover the cost of the membership for the year.

I used FedEx express shipping and received it in three days so I was impressed with the speed!

I'll be doing my next consolidation this week which has all my ear hat and shoe ornaments from Disney so I'll see how that goes and hope nothing breaks or I'll be using the insurance!

Hope that helps anyone thinking about using a consolidation service because some of us poor souls don't have a Disney trip on the horizon :p

I am curious which warehouse you are using with them? Last time I tried to get forever 21 stuff they cancelled my order cause they won't use forwarding companies

I was wary of getting Forever21 stuff sent but figured I'd give it a ago and they've just received my second forever21 order this morning so either they don't know or don't care anymore :confused3

I use the Hawthorne, California warehouse. I can also use Rastenfeld in Austria, Tualatin in Oregon (no sales tax but postage will cost more coming from the middle of the States anyway), Minden in Nevada or Hawthorne.

I figure that California is the "closest" so Aus so shipping will be the lowest lol I'll try Minden to because their storage mailboxes are 4 times bigger then Hawthorne. Good for Christmas shopping :thumbsup2

I always use the cali one as well. I might have to give the forever 21 thing another chance. I remember being so annoyed when they cancelled it last time and they wouldn't respond to emails I sent either to explain it.

I have used MYUS for years and they have always been expensive because they didn't offer the cheaper shipping options (just 4-6 days for Fedex & DHL) which is good for delivery as I can request shipment on Monday and it arrives by Friday but it is pricy.

BUT they have just introduced a new rage of shipping options and although it takes packages about 5 days more to arrive it's about 1/2 the old price. Definitely worth a look :)
